One of the great leader
by ashis on Oct 09, 2006 06:37 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Mr. Kanshiram was a great leader and there should not be any doubt on his leadership. As an IAS officer he could enjoy all the facility and live very easy life but his desire to work for dalits created BSP.

He is no more among the people physically but he will always be remembered by Indians for centuries.

At Last "Kanshi Ram Amar Rahe"

when u say "poliete" , i think u mean "polite"? here i beg 2 differ. he was not polite in nature. i recall that once he had slapped some journos in delhi. another time he called some journos in nagpur to be of "low quality". please dont attribute greatness to a man which he never possesed.

You Are the Hope of of Dalits
by Joseph Satish on Oct 09, 2006 05:47 PM  Permalink

Oh it is my great sadness, to hear the demisal of Great Kanshiram, his achievements toward dalit movements are really great. Really dalits have reined in UP because of his tireless efforts. I pray Almighty GOD will give thousands of Kanshirams in my county to be with Dalits.

It is said that we should not talk ill of someone dead. But he was not a good person to pay tribute to. He exploited votes of poor dalits and Mayawati exploited him.

Any way.. god bless him.

Pay Homage
by Sharath Madavaram on Oct 10, 2006 02:44 AM  Permalink
I disagree with you guys when we say he "exploited" and created a rift. The exploitation was already there, the rift was there he only revolted, rebelled in the most peaceful way for the rights for Dalits. I may never have voted for this party and may disgree with their ideology but no doubt I recognise his leadership which had a vision, determination, planning and never say die attitude.

Country gives Bharatratna to people who get leadership through psychophancy and for "buying" a supercomputer to say IT-Revolution happened. KanshiRam worked hard to be recognised so. Lets respect it. Definately country needs more people like him.

Hi Mr. Yadav

Your history is very poor. India have already divided in more than 6000 casts from very long period. How can you say these people have divided Indian society in cast line?. FYI Indian society have divided by Manuism & who following this.I dont want to go in details this is enough for people like You.

a really divisive politician

I dont know why we should pay tribute to someone like him. These are the people responsible for dividing the society on caste lines for meeting political ends. Both he and his disciple mayawathi are a blot on the Indian democracy..

RE:sad to hear
by pindiga on Oct 10, 2006 11:06 AM  Permalink
it is sad to read the comments made by some people, they don't understand the the reality, india is a fragmented society and it is leaders like Kanshi Ram ji who have shown the power of electoral democractic setup, that the people(oppressed) need to help themselves. By organising themselves under one banner to fight the oppressive social system of India.
We'll try realising your(kanshi ji's) dream into reality, as democracy is of the majority and the majority are the oppressed. so i see that there are better days for the majority, join hands oye! the oppressed to throw the expolitative forces out of power through the only weapon we have, the vote.vote to power the forces who represent the majority
to pay a real homage to kanshi ji, who has us the way shown. long live your ideas.

Sir

Have you lost your senses. Didnt your parents or grandparents tell you how the society was divided by them.

Kanshi ramji did not divide the society, but they are fighting for thier own rights in the society.

First Study the history and then put comments like this you senseless idiot
