One of the sadest day in our lives. He got us a lot of hopes to improve India. He was a true nationalist who followed the ways shown by another great man. Dr. Ambedkar.
Its a national lose

The Renaissance
by maran on Oct 09, 2006 08:16 PM  Permalink

Kanshi Ram will always be etched in the memory of each and every dalit for bringing about and literally being the Renaissance of the social justice movement kickstarted by stalwarts like Phule, Ambedkar and Periyar. No matter the controversies surrounding his final years he was a source of inspiration and courage for the downtrodden people to assert their power to retreive their rights. Let his death bring forth more unity among the dalits to achieve what he always wished and fought for. Kanshi Ram will always be a beacon of the Dalit movement which will shine forever....

Dalit political leader
by ranjit on Oct 09, 2006 08:13 PM  Permalink

India has lost the first dalit political leader who had hte guts to establish a dalit party amidst the dirtiest politics of Uttar Pradesh. For those who ask why we should pay tribute this man: If you do not want people to play politics based on caste and reservation then you should acknowledge the person who paved the way for dalits into politics so they can understand what is going on. Kanshi Ram. The father of dalit politics.

He was a mere politician, who exploited the name of Ambedkar. His party spread the word of hatred against fellow Indians

Tribute to Kanshi Ram
by G K Venkkautaesh on Oct 09, 2006 07:59 PM  Permalink

Kanshi Ram Ji, is a valuable leader of Dalits. When it come to Polits, he is a bad person, dividing the society based on caste system. One thing Dalits lost a valuable leader after the architect of our legal system.
May his soul rest in peace.
Thanking you and Best Regards,
G K Venkat

No need

There is absolutely no need to pay any homages to not only Kanshi Ram but all Polotical Leaders including Mayawati, Mulayam, Lallu, as it is their demise that is going to help and not their being alive. May God take to hell, all corrupt, politicians who divide people for their vote, politicians who loot our country and who sell their motherland.

I dont think your parents have tought you any thing.

Who is political leader!! Tomorrow you can be political leader.

Dont forget Kanshiramji was IAS officer. He was not having any desire to create wealth for himself. His all relatives are still poor.

I dont thing you have any right to write such word about Kanshiramji.
God bless you.

Fully agreed with your version. These ppl have divided us in caste lines and their followers (mayawati) is doing the same. God bless the soul but he never deserved so much coverage. We really got rid of one bad politician, wish others may follow soon.

What the hell!
Why should you pay tribute to such politicians who are actually a blot on the Indian politics.
Why to give him any importance at all. He was not a hero neither he did any thing for the country except making sure that Indians stop considering themselves as INDIANS but Thakur, Brahman, Yaadav, Muslim, Kurmi etc. etc.
I wish all indian politicians follow the path of Kanshiram and join him soon.

You stupid fellow, he was always against the discrimination which was created by the Hindus long back if you ever read history in school you shouldnt have said like that. Its only because the people like you the Indian Politics is like this.
He was really a hero. When you dont know anything about anybody, dont you ever dare to say anything bad just because you dont like. Hereafter check your facts before making any comment on anything.
If every politician will follow the path of the Great Kanshiramji then India will be a better place for leaving. He was a great social reformer who fights for others justice and lives life like a common man, which no politician can do.

Who told you that he was a IAS officer?. He was merely a govt servant.Had he continued in job he would have retired as any other clerk. He was wise to have quit the job and died as a Neta for millions.
