Enough is enough!
by Hemant Naik on Jul 12, 2006 06:25 PM  Permalink

Great article. Such articles should come out and make people understand and awake them. We are using the Gandhi rule, "do not beat but be beaten".

If the person himself has been beaten up then he could have understood the meaning of it. The innocent people are becoming the victims for the Indian Gonernment's Gandhi Rule. I strongly encourage Indian Gov. should declare war against Terrorists or encounter throughout India as there are Inernal terrorists who are the main culprits, without who's support the internationals will not be able to do this. We should chase and hunt them down. Then every one will be afraid of doing such activities. Even Osama Bin Laden is afraid of his life and hence hiding.

Enough is Enough

Hi Sai,

Hope you are well and not hurt. I am fine and working at my desk in office. At last you seem to agree that the very position of PM is being subverted by MRS.SG. FOrget what NDA did and what UPA is doing, I want to know how can you expect anything from a government and people who are so deep in various corruption and moral turpitude charges? How can you expect from a Railway minister to deliver when his own party man is in jail for terrorism related charges? What do you expect from a Home minister whose only qualification is to look articulate in front of 10 Janpath? Let us face it there is a problem at top. The record of the current government is so bad in terms of Law and order, court cases, constitution improprietry, rampant communalism(Muslim reservation), casteism..... just to bad. I never expected this from a person like Mr. Manmohan Singh. The national home minister should have gone by now. This person says they had AASHANKA and information of it. Yes they had info. but they were waiting for 200 people to be killed. Let us throw them out. Tell the rulers that they have to assert INDIA as power in the region.

Indo Pak situation is different from US-Afghanistan
by Sanket on Jul 12, 2006 06:21 PM  Permalink

I can understand the sentiments of the writer.I feel that India is a soft state too. However its simply absurd to draw comparisions between what USA has done and what India is doing.

1. USA is not surrounded by enemies. It never fights war on its own soil. In case of India its different.
Any aggression with Pakistan will result in drastic conseqences to our economy.

2. USA has billions of Dollars for war expenses. We had problems funding the Kargil conflict. we had to buy laser guided missles and other ammuniation from Isreal at short notice at very high price.

3. The world community is in USA's pocket. The maximum the world can do is critise USA. Nobody dares even to talk about sanctions on USA.

So my friend. Keep it cool. India is doing the right thing. Building trust, developing, gaining importance in the world. Pakistan is doing exactly opposite. Pak sponsored terrorism will be history soon.

Jai Hind!

i have a novel idea
we should take away the security of the VIPs. and do the same what the STATE does to us when we get injured or die in such situations.

i have an offer for the VIPs
we take away your security
and if you die in an terrorist attact we shall
- in case you die give you say 10,00,000 of Rupees as compensation to you
- in case you are unfortunately not dead and not injured we shall give you say 5,00,000 of Rupees.

Mind you this is ten times more than the what has been offered to the comman man on the road who in the poll season becomes VIP.

if i am not secure you should not get the security also. or to put it other way you should be only as much secure as we are.

and dont worry there are numerous people to take your posts. india is full of them - so in that sense you are definately not indispenseble or should i dare to say you are the most disposable catagory in the Secular Democratic Republic of India

I completely agree with your idea !!!

Our so called politicians should feel the heat..

I also wants to add to your idea that it can not be done by common man whatever u say or write in forums about unity and common man's power etc...

It can be done only by our arm forces/police.. they should treat VIP and common man with same imortance.. only they can change this dirty politics from our great country... !!

We are still United
by Dinesh on Jul 12, 2006 06:20 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This is a ridiculous attempt made by the anti-socialists-terrorists to spread threat in Mumbai and Kashmir last Evening. But they dont know that we Indians will never give them any chance to succeed in their so called JEHAAD.

Many thanks to our MUMBAIKARS for being so much supportive in handling the situation, and being helpful collectively, they showed that whatever be the situations we are United.

Flawed argument
by Nilesh Sathe on Jul 12, 2006 06:12 PM  Permalink

Every Indian govt and its leaders are impotent. Period. However implicit in the argument for the american way is the assumption that the war on terror is won. Yes no attacks on american soil but the toll mounts elsewhere and its their allies who suffer. case in point Jordan, Egypt, London and Israel. America may have the geographic liberty of being able to guard its borders but Americans on any other soil can hardly claim to be safe. And the body toll in Iraq - an unwarranted war (by that very same person that Mr Saiswamy calls measured and calm and all others recognise as reasonably the dumbest president of that country) is increasing by the hundreds. If unilateral action ignoring all norms of diplomatic behaviour are the way forward for India then Bombay would more easily resemble gaza.if the policies of this neo con administration were to be administered here then we would be back to the religious strife of the 90's and then the body count would seriously rise.
