i agree with you. its time for a change on how we view our self as a nation with an eco boom or a time boom.
it is not only Bombay which is under siege, let us also think about the naxal threat which has been trained and armed and financed since long by the Chinese guerrilla army based in burma. now we have the ISI element also coming in to play. they virtually hold states of bengal, bihar, jharkhand, chatishgrah, andhra, karnataka, maharashtra to ransom. we have assam and nagaland in the east and never ending J&K. 100S of soldiers die every year just because of a soulless constitution and timid governance system.
yes 10 years later, either we would continue this pathetic nation or would have ceased to exist as a nation. this eco boom is a facade of diversion
What does suresh mean by "enough is enough"? Nothing is enough, we Hindus and Indians deserve to be killed in mass numbers for our secular philosophies and reluctance to show a spine against terrorists.
We are cowards, lets accept it. Shabana is right, lets not play the blame game now, or never, lets never find out who did this so they can do it again.
We are the most coward race on the planet, I am so glad to be out of that country.
What are we doing to bring the culprits to book? more importantly, are we taking any measures to make sure that such incidents do not occur again? I believe that we should target the families of the culprits, not just the offenders. Most of them embark on this journey anticipating death. No punishment would be good enough for them. Life imprisionment would be a failiure of our system and the death sentence would make them martyrs. How can we affect such people? I would start with targeting their families. Yes some innocents may die in the process, but we can surely save innocent travellers and general public if we take such drastic measures. I am all for capital punishment, not just for the culprits but also their families. This can set an example for any aspiring terrorists who do not think for themselves, but surely would think about their families before embarking on such a selfish and dangerous crime against society.
Its no more a frustration, its something beyond that.
AS CITIZENS:
Over the last 2 decades I use to think, we can show the same passion and respect for our country as any other countrymen could possibly do. We just need a reason to break our shackles.
OUR LEADERS:
I use to think since most of our leaders are 50+ age, they think with calmness required to calculate accurately whats needed, I had believe in them too.
AS A NATION:
Every nation is required to reassert its territory, global significance and play power politics.Even United States of America can not hold the status of super power with out being tested and latest being Septemeber 11, 2001.
I use to think we can be many different castes, religions, creeds, but a day will come again when we'll stand again as a nation ...I use to think a lot and was totally convinced with many things.
But now I am convinced again, and even more strongly then before.
WE ARE A HERD OF SHEEPS.

I totally agree with you. When the hell are we going to stop being such suckers?? The terrorists are busy destroying us and all our stupid govt. does is plan more bus rides to Pakistan!!
If we must survive, we have to strike back at those who dare attack us. We know where the terrorist camps are. Why not bomb them to dust??
That was some inspiring writing there! Israeli troops have marched right into the Gaza strip without facing any obstacle just because one...JUST ONE soldier has been kidnapped. They walked right in without any fear, any hesitation. This is from their unity and solidarity and love for their own people. India is making a big mistake of making peace with its neighbour that has been constantly denying blatant truths and involving in backstabbing.
Therefore a more aggressive approach to solving this so called 'terrorist problem' is needed.
very well put, Sai. I agree with u cent per cent on your thoughts on our Govts lack of tangible thought to terrorism. PM is on DD today @ 20:00. lets see what he says
The fact is that there is no value for Life in India. It is only the politician\'s life which is important. Contrast this with Israel where they are bombarding the Hamas HQ because thay are holding one Israeli Soldier hostage. What does a brave jawan who fights the terrorists get - nothing. If he is killed, nobody sheds any tears, if he kills a terrorist a whole lot of NGOs are after him for human rights violation. On the other hand we have politicians who are ready to sell the country for a handfull of votes. In which other country would you see a spectacle of politicians of all shades visiting a person arrested for terrorists activity in Coimbatore before elections were held in Kerala for getting votes of his supporters. So far the enemy was invisible now they are visible. Our biggest enemy is our politicians.
