The problem of plenty
by Rohit Bansal on Jul 12, 2006 09:46 PM  Permalink

My dear friend, you forgot one very important point - India has a problem of plenty, the population is so large that even if few hundreds die, no one bothers about, except the kiths and kins of the deceased. The State of India, has no respect for the life of a citizen which is very evident, in which the state machinery treats its citizens. Whereas in USA, being the country of immigrants, and less populous, because it attracts the very best, everyone is given utmost importance. Hence the difference in attitude.

Fantabulous Article.
by RS on Jul 12, 2006 09:44 PM  Permalink

This Article has reflected my very thoughts emotions & convictions & I am sure a lot of us feel this way. When will India ever become a majestic nation, which respects the life of its people & defend it with all its might? It's a pity that our laders cannot be bothered about saving anyone's life except their own & make millions in the process,as they hold their chairs. Our CM's & PM's cannot bother to spend time sending the people a message of support during a time of such crisis. But then, doing so might mean they are lying thru their teeth too.India has started to believe that it's in it's fate to be invaded and taken for granted & till we,the people of India(even NRI's who still believe India to be their homeland)take up a stand against our politicians & demand such atrocities against our people & our land be stopped,it will simply continue...

Enough is enough!

One article doesn't really starts the wheels spinning in India... still it is atleast a protest..a lone voice.

There are no policy makers, people's representatives that take our national security seriously and work for it. Talking for a few days / months after a disaster and then forgtting it altogether has been our practice...we are always big talkers...not doers..

question is: who will bell the cat ?

Mumbai Massacre
by Rizwan Ahmad on Jul 12, 2006 09:33 PM  Permalink

The massacre of innocent people in Mumbai is a horrendous act of terrorism. I condemn this barbaric crime in the strongest terms possible. I appeal to the the government to investigate the crime and bring the perpetrators to justice. In the meanwhile, I congratulate people of Mumbai for displaying calm and maintaining peace and being united in restoring normal life. This is a sign of a mature nation whose people understand that these horrifying acts of terrorism are attempts to disrupt the peace, tranquility and progress of the city in particular and the country in general. This display of courage is a big blow to the intention and design of the terrorists.

Enough is enough

As my deep sympathies goes to everyone who is affected by this gruesome attack on our soil, one should realize that its the same US that went after its attackers - asked India to maintain restrain all the time when we were attacked (be it on our cities or even our parliament).

When US have the right to bomb Taliban for supporting Bin laden, Israel has the right to send tanks into Palestine for its one abducted soldier, why not India?

Terrorists are worse than animals.
by Brother Hood of Man on Jul 12, 2006 09:30 PM  Permalink

Altho' the article is OK the author fails to understand that more than 10% of the american population is not muslim, like India. America does not have enemies lurking on much of its borders as India does.So containing terrorism is that much more difficult in India. No terror act is possible without local help. People should realise that their country comes 1st & then religion or caste etc ,etc. How can these monsters dream of doing this to their fellow countrymen who have done them no harm & to their country which has fed ,clothed ,sheltered & nourished them? These animals harbouring & helping terrorists must be held as guilty & hanged. A law should be enacted where these sub-humans are tried in special fast track courts & immediatly put to death. This will prevent loss of more innocent lives and send the right message to potential terrorists & harbourers.
