Whom do you want to fight back ?
by Munthasir on Jul 13, 2006 10:51 AM  Permalink

I dont see you want to fight back the culprit who carried out these attacks, rather you want to display the 'majesty of Indian state' with whomever you think has carried out.

48 hours and investigating authority hasn't even stated whom they find guilty yet, but you want war already ? Good. Whom we should attack ? Pakistan ? Dubai ? Who is harboring Dawood ? Kashmir may be ? Where will you start attacking ? Atleast america had the luxury of attacking Afghanistan, where will India start its attack ?

What abt innocent ppl in other camps die in the process ? Death of indian innocents are good enough reason to kill innocents & civilians in enemy camps ? Is indian lives worth more than other lives ?

What America did was response of agitated mad man. Even after that they lied to get into another unjust war. By pointing to 'no attack after 9/11', you are recommending INDIA to behave like mad man throwing tantrums ?

Smart ppl keep cool before important decisions. I hope power of leading indian masses never falls into hands of ppl like you. All this does means those who carried out those attacks were guiltless, but ppl like you are no better than them.

Terror in Bombay
by Purushotham Reddy on Jul 13, 2006 10:50 AM  Permalink

I strongly echo the feelings of the author of this article.Mumbai being the financial capital of India, has been a soft target for terrorist attacks in time and again since 1993.

The fate of average indian would not change as long as these spineless eunuch politicians , without any clear policy against pro terrorist nations and their activities are in power. It is high time that we give a thought now, atleast. It hardly helps us just keep making laws which have no teeth. One thing that really makes me get on my nerves is that, why should uncle Sam decide what to do if somebody attacks us?

Aren't we an independant nation with our own rights? If only our politicians had a determination of steel, we would have long back checkmated pakistan's plans of fanning militancy in Kashmir. This has now become a inferno fast spreading across the nation, threatning the very existance of this soveriegn state.

Let us not cheat ourself with words like "Mumbai bounced back" or "We will not bow down to terror".Enough of this crap now.Filthy politicians, pls stand up for a cause!.

Alright, so you suggest that we do what the US did, ie go to war. Good idea. So how many incoent people should we kill? Should we too attack a country because it can't defend itself, and in the process, kill hundreds of inncoents in trying to kill one man? Not done my friend. Yes, the answer to such terrorist strikes is war. But not the war that is fought in blood. We need to fight the war with out minds n tactics. Killing more innocent people is not going to help. You suggest we should go to war with Pakistan, because they are harbouring Dawood Ibrahim and the likes. But tell me, is it the common Pakistani who is responsible for this? No he isn't. India has to straighten it's law and order system so that justice comes quicker. And please, don't compare India and US. It's two different worlds, the first made of people who will get up when they fall, the second made up of politicians who will kill innocent lives because they want to kill one man. Go visit Afghanistan and ask the people there what the US has done for them. Go ask the Iraqis what war has brought them. The perhaps, you will change your opinion.

EnEough is enough.let this come from USA...our government will react.
by amol on Jul 13, 2006 10:47 AM  Permalink

Parliament ,Akherdham attack, kargil . kargil was the best opportunity to Indian government to hit hard Terrorist camps . Instead they stick to the policy not to cross LOC, under pressure from USA, which resulted heavy causalities on our sides. And Mr. Mush?? He had prepared missiles to launch nuke attacks.

Mr. Bush and Mr. Mush are the two devils our government failed to tackle. The former kept bothering and later punching on us.

Very time before taking any step our politicians looks at USA, reaction from rest of the world. Why one should think of what world would say when its a matter of security of own house. Delay is the mantra of our government starting from day to day work activity to purchase of the advanced equipment for our defense personnel. Result our soldiers are fighting proxy war, defending our country with aged equipments, air force pilots died in air accidents.

This all you want to change? Then charity begins at home. We all must change ourselves. The way & what we think, on which matter we focus. We must come out from the shell that we all have built around us. The unity that we show at the time of crisis should be a regular practice for all of us. This will certainly keep pressure on government.

enough is not enough
by Jackie Netto on Jul 13, 2006 10:45 AM  Permalink

Certainly what is evident is that there is no political will on either side to extradite and try the Indian-grown terrorists who have found safe haven in other places.

But about meeting war with war -- I cannot believe you are saying this! True that the US has not had another attack on its soil, but do you believe that what it is doing in Iraq is the answer? Killing another country's citizens to protect its own? I thought they had decided that Osama was the culprit and not Iraq or Saddam! If that is the case, why are they not flushing him out, or even killing Saddam for his atrocities? Instead what they are doing is true Hollywood movie style -- killing several thousands when you need to kill only one.

Who is that wise man who said something to the tune that for every 'terrorist' killed, a few more will be spawned? Which means we have to see what it is in our systems -- the inequalities -- that give rise to such hatred and violence and solve those issues. War is not the answer.

With regard to the latest in India, and according to you, who is that invisible enemy? Can we identify them and take action against them?
