It is loathsome that Mr.Ramdoss dared to sack Dr. Venugopal. What is the status of Mr.Ramdoss;just a politician whereas Dr.Venugopal has saved many lives. We hate politicians.People in the street are abusing the minister with filthy language. It is sad that such dirty people are elected in a democracy-this would erode faith in democracy.
Well done Mr Shenoy! What else could a nincompoop, incompetent, arrogant, repeater (I believe so) doctor who is more into politics than into profession because of his (dis)qualifications in the medical profession and qualifications in the political field (remember the famous words of the famous Winston Chrichill??) do to a dedicated, qualified, competent, cardiac physician, who built up the department brick by brick? As usual, the castrated congressmen in general and our supremely incompetent PM in particular are the helpless bystanders. They can do nothing since they will meet their end if they even try to bark, let alone bite, because they do not want to be out of power. Do not forget that the plans for privatization have been put on the back burner, thanks to another of the Tamil Nadu politicians, who has the guts to keep the congress away from the TN govt. And the congress has been able to do sweet nothing! The sooner this government goes, the better it is for the country.
dear editor, i am ashamed to admit that the autocrat named anbumoni ramadoss belongs to our profession. instead of supporting the premier medical institution of the country through and through, this nepotist is maligning the whole medical profession in front of the international media.
a country which is trying to stand up inspite of its politicians is being stabbed from behind by people like him. how can such an enlightened president standby and watch this un-necessary drama? why is nobody in the political circle chastising this short sighted individual when he is trying to push forward his silly personal agenda?
so much for coalition politics, where any one who gets in to the parliament citing his father's caste as his biggest credential takes innocent individual's life in the name of gigantic ego.
i am crying for the poor family of the deceased as well as for my motherland.
oh god... when will we stop suffering from people like the ramadosses?!
Sir, As you truly said even our Prime Minister is helpless in this matter. I am just wondering what options our Great PM has,to tackle the problems frequently arrising because of people like Dr A Ramadoss or Mr Arjun Singh who just because of their ego creating a nonsense situation for his Government. The saddest part is that their nonsense are creating shear discomfort in the society.
Thanks for bringing such information which sometime goes unnoticed while common people are suffering due to same ego full, selfish politicians. Unfortunately, we thought this PM will be good .. but even he is good .. he is one of the weakest PM with full of unwanted elements in his cabinets. Couple of more years .. this goverment will pass too .. we will go excited again .. taking India to peak.
How can any doctor even if he is the health minister if not on the faculty of AIIMS start examining patients in that institute? Dr.Ramdoss was seen donning a stethoscope during the strike. The whole medical fraternity is with AIIMS doctors and against the dictatorial minister.I feel courts will be more effective than Manmohan Singh.
FROM SAHARANEWS ONLINE The news about Anbumani Ramdoss paying a surprise visit to the AIIMS in the middle of the night some time ago is perhaps old. It came out in the newspapers how the minister was not recognized by the AIIMS staff, which annoyed him and he sought an explanation from the director of the institute, Dr. Venugopal.
What happened later was much more interesting...he got upset when the minister sought his explanation and in a huff sent in his resignation to the Prime Minister.
The PM was well briefed about what had happened. He sorted out the issue by summoning the minister and the doctor together, impressed upon Anbumani that Venugopal, who is world renowned, should not have been treated like that, and virtually made the minister apologise to him.
YESTERDAY... Dr. VG was told to sit and wait outside the meeting at the Health ministry, and according to the Financial Express online edition to "Say sorry to Minister or face action" at the end of the meeting
There you go, Mr.TVRS, this is the reason for the minister's vengefulness
