End of innings, sooner the better
by suresh gupta on Aug 22, 2004 05:12 PM  Permalink

In his last innings, AS has been given a very important job of developing human resources. But within no time he has proved himself unfit for this job. He has started developing himself.

Muman resources are the most important asset India is having today. Need is to develop these resources and used to their maximum potential. A single person is a resource and should be developed to contribute. But AS says that he wants all human resources having any link with RSS should be neutralised. In saying this AS has commited a national crime. Who is he to decide which resource should be used and which resource should not be used? In my opinion AS should be immediately sacked.

Damaging the society
by N J Ramesh on Aug 21, 2004 04:55 AM  Permalink

India needs a HR Minster who can inspire the confidence of educated elite. Somebody like M. S Swaminathan, or Amartya Sen, or Irfan Habib, Or Raja Ramanna or somebody of that genre.

Mr. Arjun Singh has significantly lowered the standard of debate on issues pertaining to education and utterly failed on the counts of intellectual integrity and political sagacity. Earlier we had a joker at the helm of HRD who probably costed the government to NDA and now we have a politician who may cause a long-term damage to society itself.

Let AS be our PM
by Mask on Aug 20, 2004 10:54 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Spare this lion alone.
People he proved his capabilty as an excellent CM of one of the biggest(darkest too) state MP. Look what is going on their under communalist UB.
He also proved that he is most loyal too to the queen ! May be he missed his chance this time becoz the people has the strange aspiration that MMS will be better hope. But AS is doing a good job to tarninsh the image of UPA under MMS so that in a very short time people started to shout against MMS rule. As a god given chance the things are not doing well with MMS too. In a very short time of four months economy is going bad, prices are soaring, NE India is buring, floods etc a long list. So AS chance will come soon when the quenn will change her mind to take over.
People of India just praying and waiting for it. So in the mean time AS is showing his capabiltiy to show the world how to run a coalition. MMS is never proved a politician and he cannot be. Here goes the AS plus against MMS. If AS can handle the BJP via RSS he will have a big score.
In the mean time people can forget about Churhat and all (after all they are just media and BJP creation).
Long live AS. Your days as PM of India will be a golden time.

Bhau saheb's last innings?
by Bhopali on Aug 20, 2004 09:54 PM  Permalink

Time and again Thakur Arjun Singh has tried his best to show that he is a force to reckon with in the congress, but unfortunately has never had many supporters. This time round he has donned the mantle of a `messiah of minorities' and a `yes man of left parties,. His statements criticising the RSS have done more harm than good.In true Bhau saheb style he says' RSS se maafi mangne ka sawal hi paida nahi hota'.His so called `detox' exercise has left him with egg on his face, as not an iota of saffronisation has been found in the NCERT history texts. The media which was earlier gunning for his predecessor MM Joshi has now taken a U-turn and started crticising Singh's arbitary actions. His efforts to project himself as the most hardworking Minister in the UPA Govt. have been counterproductive. He now has to issue press statements to the effect that he is not running after the PM's gaddi. Only time will tell whether arjun singh turns out be a boon or curse for the UPA Govt. Till then! milte hain break ke baad

Last innings for BJP!
by Ajayan on Aug 20, 2004 07:57 PM  Permalink

I really like the way Arjun Singh takes the BJP/RSS people and their great educational policy installed by the most useless HRD minister ever M.M Joshi. Hats off!
He is quite irritating for the BJP and BJP hired writers and supporters. That's what I really enjoy while reading rediff.

Vindictive Arjun : Left's puppet
by Dixit on Aug 20, 2004 04:10 PM  Permalink

Mr Arjun Singh's actiona clearly indicate that he is dancing to the tune of the Left Parties. The constitutions of Jumbo panels and setting up of various committees is nothing but accomodation of chamchas of the Left. It goes without saying that his predecessor was much better than him .Students will realise this soon when the IIM fees soar and they have to study additional history texts in school.

Mr Arjun singh is doing every thing just to prove himself anyway. He himself started politics in education started hiding the real history of Great India. The general public has already discarded him by defeating him in general elections.
