i was short and sweet yesterday -i am going into details now NEW DELHI: Helped by a good response from young movie-goers, Aamir Khan Productions and PVR Cinemas’ co-production Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na has scored over its costlier rival Harry Baweja’s sci-fi flick Love Story 2050 in the first three crucial days. The Imran Khan-starrer Jaane Tu... earned an estimated Rs 20 crore in its first weekend. The producers now plan to add an additional 150 prints, buoyed by the film’s success.
Jaane Tu... was made with a modest budget of Rs 10 crore and was released with about 450 prints. Says Aamir Khan: “It has seen an overwhelming response not just in metros but smaller cities too.
Even on Monday, we haven’t seen any drop in collections or occupancy levels. We plan to increase the number of shows and prints as the demand has seen a huge surge from exhibitors.”
Adlabs Films and Harry Baweja’s co-production Love Story 2050, in comparison, has earned a little over Rs 11 crore (excluding collections from Bihar and Assam), says Rowena Baweja of Baweja Movies.
Added Reliance Entertainment chief marketing officer Saurabh Varma: “Our occupancy levels have been consistent and we believe it will pick up during the week.” Love Story 2050 was released with almost 1,000 prints.
Jaane Tu..., which was distributed by UTV in the international markets, has clocked Rs 4.5 crore overseas in its first weekend. Says trade analyst Taran Ad

Priyanka must have been frustuated not being the GF of Hrithik. Thats why is inlove with his Carbon copy. So also you must be crazzy, Mamata and very commomn choice. But there is no comparison between the two Hs. Hrithik do have that Greek God sort of Hollywood Hero sort of look and Harman is like many others who are trying in vain to get even closer to that.
