I'm thinking Rediff isn't moderating posts and content at all....No wonder nuts like "hittu" above can post, and no wonder the standard of rediff has dropped to an extent where busty babes now adorn the front pages with polls as to who's hottest...and movies like Chak De get bad initial reviews from Rediff...What happened to the Rediff of 8 years back that I knew and loved....Please post some real news rediff! and keep weirdos out of your website plllleeeaaaase!!

movie is inspired from real story of MR Negi who was goalkeeper of that ill fated Indian team which lost in front of all top brass indian dignatories. It is story of lots of class Indian players who happened to be Muslims like Zafar Iqbal, Shahid probably one of greatest hockey genius India produced recently. Since I am so close to the game and I real appreciate the courage shown by producer, actors as it is very much focused on the subject. I think SRK should be commended for his role as not many top stars will take this role. Only wekness is commentator who never got the spirit of game. Girls were fantastic and played a resonably good game when shown. Must watch and be above the typical Indian Hypocracy as that this guy (SRK) hates hindus that is BS as he is married to a Hindu.

WE Indians are biggest Hypocrates as when ever some one does some thing good we can always come up with critcism. Please watch movie then make an assesment. There is no Hollywood movie made on Hockey, yesy there are lots of sports movies which may have been with similar theme. Discrimination, persecutuion happens in US too. If it inspires people towards Hockey and let people of India realize that fact of matter is this that it is factual film with some dramatization. Congratulations to whole unit of CHAK De as they have done a great deed for Indian Hockey.
I have seen the movie twice. I think Shahrukh Khan has only a few dialogues and scenes in the film. The film belongs to his team of powerful female players. The girls are all brilliant actors and can also do very good comedy. Their dialogues are also very interesting. Shahrukh Khan was there just to promote the movie...but whatever dialogues he has are very good and meaningful.
Kudos to Bindya Naik, Komal Chautala, Balbir Kaur, Vidya Sharma, Preeti Sabarwal, Ailya Bose and others...powerful actors with strong intelligence and screen presence. You need to watch the movie to appreciate their these lead female actors. You will find them better actors than Shahrukh Khan.

yes there r better actors than SRK but the fact is that if u take out SRK from chak de the film will die at that very moment SRK is the soul of the film and he delivers a g8 performance which the other superior actors would find it dificult to do.
I am not a fan at all of Shah Rukh. He has very limited acting capabilities. But dear this movie is just awesome. Mr. Amin had him very well contained. didnt allow him to do his sick things. I loved Swades and always wanted SRK to act as he did in Swades (kudos to Mr. Gowariker). Chak De is a very nice film. Very Predictable, but so was Lagaan. None of the Directors can ever create the nerve and shiver of a game as in Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. The music and the feel was just awesome then. For a film like this the background score had to be done by A. R. Rehman, he would have rocked and would have added lots of chill to it.
The End of the film was somewhat strange, as none of the girls ever saw or saluted the Coach for what he had made them achieve. It would have added the last feather in the cap, if proper attention would have been given to the coach in the end. The last scene is good, when coach goes straight to his home, away from the media. But when the cup is won he should have had some imp there from all the girls.

This ID must be banned from Radiff. He is using abusive language.It's fine if you donot like Chak De and let other enjoy. We all love this fantastic movie.
Despite presence of SRK and over excessive media hype, chak de has flopped badly. It will recover its cost from big cities and multiplexes but that will hardly be a boost to srk's jeopardized career.
It seems srk has disappeared from media now, and has not made a single public appearence after box office reports.

Why has Report Abuse been blocked by moderator for this one? Whoever this "Cool Dude" person is, I don't know what makes him such an expert for making such a generalized remarks. I think that the Engineers at Rediff need to write a spam blocker that somehow figures content as well as "context"...and automatically blocks messages like the above, that comprise irrelevant speculation and deliberate demoralization, bordering on libel. It is shameful, the extent to which some people will go, to crush the spirit of a great movie like Chak De and its fans
