Some of them which i like the most...
1) Raasathi - Thiruda Thiruda - Speciality is that the song doesnt use any musical instrument. It goes only with humming..

2) New york Nagaram in Sillunu our kadhaal.

3) Beat of passion from Taal.

4) Kabhi Kabhi from Jaane tu

And many many many more..

Actually its a tough chioce all together.

But best of tht i would feel is "Kehna hai kyaa.."from bombay, and ""sandhana thennale.." from kandu kondain kandu kondain

For the sheer non-use of traditional music and just percussion and voices... Lyrics maybe a bit crude bur awesome music

Agreed his music is good but it is definitely not exceptional!

It sounds great because he has terrible contemporaries in the music business!

If Anu Malik could have been anywhere near melodious, he could have given AR at least some competition!

But like everything else it is always 20-30% real work and the rest is hype!

Works for everyone, even AR!!

u r only a bit right..the instrument arrangement and using different instruments with great vocals ..and yes..the lyrics..made them special. and yes..rehman's songs have its own style..and hardly it copied..

hey anuj..i had just to say abt rehman's music..he does not copy for his own songs..may be others copy his style of music..
