Guru Dutt though he is a great actor and director but as a person he was not at all family man. Guru Dutt at the time of death had large debts on his head and Geeta Dutt cleared all those debts I do not think author must have mentioned that
I can not understand this story of Guru Dutt and Waheeda. Both were good actors. Guru Dutt was married with Geeta Dutt and Geeta was to sing songs in his films only.
Since Sathya Saran has written this book, I have to read it. Because, this will be something I can trust as I read it. Will write abck when I read it. Vinod Mirani
Guru Dutt was a giant. Why should we peep into his private life and draw out the skeleton from the cubboard. Let him be, whereever he is. By writing such incidents you are trying to ruin not only one person but a lot of others too, whoever was associated with him. A book detailing his craft & perceptions would have been worth while. Satya saran brought up Femina to such excellent heights, much more degnified acts are expected from her.
Guru Dutt was a great artist but, he had his weaknesses and he was victim of those weaknesses. It was a great loss to Hindi Film Industry. He could have produced classics.
