Amanat stands a better chance to stand out as a true musician because of his grinding in classical music. I have seen the music videos from Pak and they have a very classical base, which Indian musicians in the course of time seem to have moved away from. the youth today in the audience has very limited exposure to classical base that was the luck and blessing for the 70s and 80s generation hence the choice of a more pop and rap oriented musician is natural but Amanat has what is a strength for making 'good' music. He needs the right support from music companies and the right audience.

Hey Shrikant Paki, Who told you Aneek and Raja are not trained classically.They got appreciation from all MahaGurus. Jagjitji even told Aneek that "tumhari umar mei hum suur dhonte the". Aneek doesnot do only rap/western.I guess u forgot his "Laaga chunari mei daag", "Ek chatur naar", "Satrangee re" and many more such performances which were classical based. He was the most complete singer and deserved to win.

The Indian movies/music that you listen in Pakistan is PIRATED as they are banned in pakistan. Pirated means that the producers do not earn a single penny from what pakis watch. so there is zero revenue. Again I never said pakis dont have good singers. Frankly I do not have much interest in the music but my wife and younger son were glued to the sa re ga ma challenge from the beginning . I used to see this on and off but later in the end followed my wife and waited here in Singapore in the night to watch this closely held singing competition. All the three singers in the last were great and our best wishes to all the participants and zee tv for this . Capt Praveen Bajaj
