They are true in saying that Bengalis are indeed way ahead in music as compared to the people of other parts. But I don't undersatnt what they are trying to prove here. They are good--so what? Do they need some official recognition from some one? I think, this useless effort of these people indicates that they are racist.

Yeah Nitin, that's true....and what did you mean by saying that? i tell you: "Mumbai is a very special place indded, espcially for the film industry"! That's a peice of india....i don't think it's only urs! And if you go to see the biographies of great people from the film industry in Mumbai, 9o% of them are not from Mumbai! I am a sufficiently experienced music afficianado to assert that Amanat was the better of the 3 finalists. The format, with voting as the deciding factor, was just not adequate to the task. The subjectivity of voting was not musical but parochial. Let not Indian cinema forget Amanat as a potentially great playback singer for all romantic, classical, and emotional songs. Raja and Aneek can sing the 'power'songs and the fun songs.Versatile Mouli can be a good choice for the place of Asha ji. Indeed why she did not make it to the finals is a mystery even Prannoy Roy's psephological skills can not possibly resolve

Amanat Ali is brilliant while Aneek is a fine singer, and Raja has a fine, booming voice.
But honestly, will Indians vote in such a way that they'll let a Pakistan boy get the first place ?
The attitude is wrong, but alas! that is the sad ground truth. Anyway, the whole world has seen Amanat's unique talent and soon, I believe, he'll be inundated with singing offers..
(Meanwhile Himesh Reshamiya should be forbidden from being a judge. He is shameless, uncouth and quite unbearable as he canvasses for his candidate.)

Dear Ranjan, did you hear Aneek's LAGA CHUNARI ME DAG? fOR UR INMFORMATION: I saw in wikipedia(and also in the news papers from kolkata online), Aneek has the proper indian classical music training from his childhood and he is still having it! And he already sang for three movies...two hindi and one bengali! And this was the second time he was winning the saregamapa title.....becoz he was a champion in the zonal competetion too.....well, that's it! And it doesn't mean, Amanat was not good...he was exellent and he will be so always! Cheer!
