RE:Says who ?

Becoz he or she fears his/her life. Its not Bachchan family alone but also the hooligans associated with them that can create trouble. I hope u understand.
There was a time I really admired Mr Bachchan. I thought there was depth in character as well as voice.
Unfortunately in recent years he has shown that he too has feet of clay.
Some people elevated him to a God-like stature(not myself) and herein lies the problem. He has taken his good fortune not as a blessing but as a right. He has shown himself to be all too human. Self-advancement (including for family members)is a feature common to all individuals but when you are a National Icon who represents certain values it often pays to be gracious and generous to an extent not expected of your "ordinary man on the street".
But Mr Bachchan has shown, in my opinion, that he is as petty and greedy as the next man. For those of you who will say "why have such expectations of him", I would say, we SHOULDN'T but then he shouldn't expect to get preferential treatment of the back of being a VERY successful movie star.
Respect for ones work should not automatically mean respect for the person. Respect has to be earned.

Wow Sooraj, I'm really flattered. You searched this entire thread to find my message! Ahhhhhhhh.
Do you have family to take care of you? Coz I think you're going CUCKOOOOOOO....
What's the point in talking to you when you don't listen and have already made up your mind? You bring in factors to your argument which I've not even mentioned.
I did like AB as a person and actor in the past. I have never been keen on Jaya (too full of herself). I have never liked Aishwarya as an actress or personality.
Now what this has to do with my liking or not of Rani I don't know! But you seem to want to make a link. By the way I also like Ayesha,Gul,Amrita Roa, Saif, SRK,Jimmy Shergill etc.
I do not like the Bachchan family anymore based on their behaviour in recent years - nothing to do with Aish.
I don't have to like people to have the right to comment on them if they are public personas, especially if they also dabble in politics.
I hope this has clarified my position but if not who cares a hoot - go and fight with someone else on your wave-lengh!

my dear reena, i'm happy that i could flatter u.i don't want to burst your bubble by telling that i first saw this article when it was just posted and had only 2 pages of comments. your post was on the latest page. oops...did i just tell you that? sorry dear!even i wonder why i keep bumping into you. but if you jump into posting hate messages at every bachchan/ash article i can't help bumping into you! though you have not mentioned but your hidden reasons for not liking bachchans now are what i told you. and btw, i fully agree with you! otherwise what made you suddenly dislike AB who you liked earlier. Can you clarify? what makes you think jaya bachchan is too full of herself? like you think you have the right to comment on public figures i too have the right to comment on not just public figures but anyone including you. you think only bachchans dabble with politics? shatrughan sinha, dharmendra, govinda..the list goes on my sweetie pie. why not your valuable comments on them? you calling me a cuckoo is as good as the ostrich burying it's head inside the sand and thinking that the hunter is not seeing it! finally i think i'm falling in love with you ! will cuckoo & ostrich make a good match ?

I totally agree with you Reena Goel. I too really admired him and his voice once upon a time. I started hating him because his son married Aishwarya Rai. Since it is in fashion to call her plastic queen and hate her I too hated her. I thought Abhishek and Rani Mukherji made a wonderful couple. Some people say Rani is a cunning woman but I don't agree with that. Can they prove their allegation. But I can agree that Aishwarya is shrewd without any proof as that is in fashion again ! Then my hatred for the Bachchans was intensified when Jaya Bachchan gave only 5 out of 10 to Rani Mukherji on Koffee With Karan. How could she do that to such a wonderful actor whose talent wasn't discovered till her career was resurrected by Yash Chopra with Saathiya. Jaya also said that Ash respects her elder, listen to them and stands behind them. How horrible? Modern liberated women stand in front of their elders, talk a lot but still respect them. Till then I used to say that Jaya Bachchan is a lady who knows and speaks her mind. But after that as per the latest fashion I changed my opinion to Jaya Bachchan has an opinion on everything! She should take it easy. Then Amitabh didn't invite a lot of People for the marriage of Abhi and Ash? How could he do that? He should have hired the ground where Filmfare awards are held for the marriage and called as many people as he could.Atleast he could have invited Rani.
Then I hate him for his association with Amar Singh and Mulayam Singh Yadav. It

It's not as if this association started recently, he has been close to them for years now. But the fashion to hate him for this reason started recently, so I also started hating. I could have overlooked this had Abhishek not married Aishwarya because we all hate her you know. After that marriage I don't know why but everything the Bachchans do seems wrong to me. Then I hate them for all those temple visits. It's not as if they didn't use to visit temples earlier but after the Aishwarya association I started finding them too superstitious. Earlier they looked normal like any other Indian visiting temples. I don't hate Salman Khan for all the human beings and animals he's killed, for manhandling his girlfriends or other people, for throwing attitude because finally he has a heart of gold becuase he occassionally gifts gold watches to Zayed khan and other junior actors.
I don't hate Sanjay Dutt for being involved in the Bombay Blasts and God knows using his influence to get the least punishment.
But I hate the Bachchans for the reasons mentioned above. I also support the tabloid which till last year used to publish Amitabh's name as the highest tax paying actor did not place him even in the top 5 or 6 this year. Infact he was totally omitted. They did the right thing as it is in fashion to pull down the Bachchans nowadays and I'm all for the latest trend. Let us all start a hate campaign against the Bachchans. I dont need any proof to believe that Bachchan is as petty
Envy's envy is friend. Shahrukh Khan don't touch Amitabh's feet with his stereo type acting. Salman Khan don't get his love Ash and accidently Ash married Abhishek. So both are jealosy with Bachchan family's fate. Like Shahrukh, Hrithik is also affraid of Abhishek's acting in 'Guru.' He knows that as per Acting Capacity, Abhishek is Guru. Hrithik is good dancer and best child artist. He has no capacity to doing a challenging roll like Guru. Now they people have only one aim : throw Bachchan family from Bollywood. Alas, in reel life Khan Stars are very charming and 'tyagmurthy', but in real life they are real jealous and possessive person. They only believe only khans rule the bollywood, but their era is gone.

Check ur brains "Khans have never claimed that they are tyagmurti whatever they are they are out in open", Salman is saved from Aishwarya and Hrithik is far far superior than Abhishek, just one Guru wont make him bigger than Abhishek. And Khans dont need to prove their mettle by being possesive becozdespite stereotype performance SRK is the darling NRI and also many Indian masses. And I agree he has given stereotype performance in many of his movies but what about movies like Bazzigar, Darr, Anjaam, Kabhi Han Kabhi Na, Swades, Ver-Zaara, DDLJ and so on. Like that toh even Bachachan (I agree he is a great actor and Iam no way doubting his acting prowess especially in BlACK N dEEWAR) he also has given duds with his stereotype performance in Mrityudaata, Lal Badshah, Major Saab, Aj Ka Arjun, Ganga Jamuna Saraswati and so on. So please dont say others are jealous of him
Amitabh is having a second mid-life crisis ... instead of building of the good will and comeback warrior image he acquired in the last few years ... he is falling for his own larger than life image and making the same mistakes he made last time around (with silly cmoc strips, entry into politics and Ajooba movies) ...
There is an over dose of Amitabh ... on TV and in movies ... and at times he is frittering away the dignity of his positioning in society by dragging himself into cat fights with actors half his age ...
All points to another mid life crisis for an actor who has lived two lives already !!
Is rediff competing with itself to set new lows as far as its staffers' grasp over english is concerned? This article is perfect example of very shoddy language! Whoever this 'Special Correspondent' is should be sent back to college and made to learn to write properly!
