Bollywood No Longer Adores Amitabh!!
by Arvind Nandan on Jun 04, 2007 05:15 PM  | Hide replies

Very laughable article this!! It is simply unfathomable why people are upset about not being invited by Amitabh. It shows how much they care for his invitation and adore him. Who has got the right to decide who he should invite and who not? Why were these people not offended when they were not invited to many other celebrity weddings and parties? They definitely adore him and need his company. It shows that other people are so much below him. It is Amitabh who sets the standards and they follow. As for his being targeted politically, that is a political issue, nothing to do with his professional achievements. Give us another name from different spheres in contemporary India who is such an icon. That by writing such cheap articles on Amitabh, the 'special correspondent' tries to gain readership, is another yeardstick by which his stature needs to be measured.

I absolutely do not know what other reasons are being indicated to. What I definitely know is people know that a single article/ news item that carries Amitabh's name becomes one of the most readable ones. People in our society are most interested in news related to Amitabh. And so was his popularity in his heydays in 70s and 80s too. It cannot be argued that anyone's personal affairs need not be debated in public domain - in a decent society. Why are we so much troubled? There are various other issues that are more worthy of debate.

REG SHAHRUKH, HRITHICK, SAIF
by kuldeep shah on Jun 04, 2007 05:12 PM  | Hide replies

I have sympathy for karan johar.
Dear karan,

There are other actors also-
hritik, khan ,saif are not the only one working in industry.

I personally donot like all the three because they are full of overacting .

Shahrukh doesnot know how to weep in movies, hritik is all about body, and saif i donot count him an actor.

Karan johar can cast other actors .

I feel he should give chance to anil kapoor, shiney ahuja, aamir khan, salman khan , sanjay dutt, akshay kumar, john, arjun rampal in his films to be casted with amitabh, ash , abhi.

SAIF, SHAHRUKH, HRITIK are all jealous of abhishek because now he is doing so well and even in future he will beat everybody. He has the blood of greatest-2-2-2-2-2- person in film industry SIR AMITABH Bachchan.

KARAN DONOT WORRY ABOUT SHARUKH, SAIF AND MACHO MAN HRITIK.

With kind regards
kuldeep shah

giving one good hit film doesnt mean that abhishekh is a good actor...Long time for him to reach that peak...look wise he is zero...acting wise he is ok...the only added advantage is that...he is a BACHCHAN.

Guru worked for him...coz it was directed by Mani Ratnam....who can teach any damn person how to act.
Kuldeep...let abhishekh be in nappy for sometime...he still need to learn alot

Oh ya u r right Abhishek has a royal blood and just by giving a hit called Guru he is at par with Hrithik, Saif and Shahrukh. I 2000 percent bet tht he can't do even one fourth of what Hrithik did in Koi Mil Gaya, Saif in Omkara n Hum tum and SRK in Swades, Pardes and Darr.

Even i read somewhere that he has sold exclusive rights of the marriage to a TV chanel, StarTv showed some of the marriage last week, (exclusive)
same as was done by liz hurley.
Anyway why should he care, he can always go back to his farming!

Footage shown by Star TV was so grainy, it was apparently shot by some guest with a phone-camera. I think any half-decent photographer would do a better job than that, so I don't believe that the rights for the marriage were sold to the channel.

Moreover, jo log khud kheti-baadi karte hain, sirf woh hi farmer hote hain kya? I have some people working for me in my farms in Punjab, I have not been to my village in 15 years and yet I am a farmer!! I can buy agricultural land anywhere in India.

Why target AB for doing something that the whole of India is doing? These articles reek of jealousy.

Moreover, yeh Hrithik, Shah Rukh ya Saif ki abhi itni aukaat nahi hui ki yeh Amitabh Bachchan ka muqabla kar saken....aur shayad kabhi hogi bhi nahi!!

by kapil on Jun 04, 2007 05:06 PM  | Hide replies

I was mentioning this three days ago and the moderator put my messages into abuse list. Mr. AB is nothing yaar. Just check last three days news about him. He not only fooled many Indian investors sometime ago but recently fooled poor farmers. I think his best seat is in Jail now. Any one who fooled poor people should be punished whether it is Prime minister or these fools. I don;t understand why some guys still adore him, he is almost nothing. In my case seeing him face again and again in tv is so ridiculous. Lot of other new guys available in the market why we waste such old guys.

Meantime i can't smile some guys comparing AB with Rajani. If anyone want to check who is best just watch Baasha and Baadasha and you know who is best. Rajani is way ahead of this guy that is 1000000000000000000000% right...

Agree with you Kapil. We are in a society where cricketers and film stars are demigods. and we as a society are at fault. so is the media.

Speaking of Amitabh Bacchan its clear that he has political affiliations with ppl with not a great reputation for integrity, or any form of decency.

ALso they have not set such a great role model for society by barging into Tirupahi Temple, and also exhibiting all kinds of superstitions by visiitng astrologers and baba's and sadhus before his son got married.

MR. BACCHAN ----U are like any other in India.

Really sad state
by Narendra Bhat on Jun 04, 2007 05:04 PM  | Hide replies

It is really sad that the common people are jealous of his stature. People have always adored Amitabh Bachchan, the actor. Why not keep it this way? If Amitabh has done any 420 as one reader as put it, then Amitabh will be responsible, not the reader.

If there is an overdose of Amitabh Bachchan on TV & elsewhere, then people should switch off the TV or even break their own TV if required. Also, if any reader does not like his movies, then do not see the movie.

All the readers who complain about Amitabh are really having a petty mind & will always be like this all the life.

I like Amitabh's movies. I see them. What he does in his personal life is his problem not mine. If he cheats, he will be punished by law. But that will not stop me from enjoying his movies.

This applies not only to Amitabh but also to actors like Sunjay Dutt whose Munnabhai MBBS & Lage Raho Munnabhai were really enjoyable. I loved the movies.

Time to grow up guys....

u enjoying the movie brings out negative externality for the society...its sad to knoe u dont consider urself a part of 'law'...law cannot be implemented without having concensus in the society n its a sad part u r not willing to be a part of it....
I make no direct refrence to Amitabh as am too a gr8 fan of his...however am depressed with ur attitutde

I am a part of law to the extent that I do not commit crime & will report to the authorities if I see one. However, I cannot stop you or anyone from committing a crime. If you are depressed with my attitude, I cannot take any responsibility for that either. I will just say, "So be it". But, honestly, there are better things in life to enjoy, than be depressed over my attitude. Go grab a beer & watch Cheeni Kum....

we had sanjay dutt doing gandigiri on-screen which fetched him thousands of supporters during his trail....common why the hell r u supporting some1 who is supposedly on the other side of the law..enjoy the movie but dont support him
Sadly we dont distinguish ourself

Hey... I never said that I am supporting anyone who is on other side of law. I just said that I dont care what Amitabh does in his personal life. As long as I get to see good movies either Amitabh or Sunjay or Salman, I am OK. I cannot get "distinguished" for every reason a Salman runs over poor fellas or a Sunjay delivering arms on behalf of some don or an Amitabh who declares himself a farmer.
