His reply to the land scam related questions...
by nithya selvaraj on Jun 05, 2007 12:15 PM  | Hide replies

When Amitabh was questioned about the land scam, the man did not say anything about how and why he became a farmer to acquire the land. Instead he said "I am a law abiding citizen. I will go by the government's /court decision".
How exactly can he claim to be a law adiding citizen at a time like this? He should have signed his credentials before acquiring the land right? Can these things happen without his consent? Does he think we are fools to believe that silly statement?

He had the guts to tell a cool lie on the face of the idiots who idolize him. There cannot be more confident scoundrel ...

-Nithya

Do we really know law? How many of us really understand useless and complex law of this land. You need to do LLB to really understand the law. We all go by some consultant and we accept it as he consults. We want work to be done, its only law makers who make sure that you are always in trouble so that they can snatch and harass you anytime.

Think of buying a land and you will have nightmares. Then you will understand what are the laws. I cant explain rest, rest is only to experience

Rajesh
I understand law enough to beleive that it was not the cleanest deal. Muddying waters is typical as if there is something bigger hidden than the obvious.
You are right about the dirty world about land deals, but then again at best he may have chosen to go against a draconian law that he may have found unfair (assuming the most pious intentions). Eitherways, the fact remains he twisted his credentials to acheive his goals that amount ot forgery that needs no consultant to comprehend. He is no farmer- period. Many people go against draconian laws- but it can also be done by challenging the legitimacy with a petition. He had enough influence any way to have it moving without resorting to finding loop holes.
Again it is choice - morally- and the inference of his act on his character are people's.

So is it acceptable to buy a large piece of land using false credentails?

So, it cames down to the fact that we the people who are guilty of corruption will chose idol who is more corrupt. We will pardon his lack of ideals as we are no ideal person to judge.

This is exactly why mediocre, average looking guys sometimes end up as superstars. We pardon their lack of talent.

You can pardon him. But the law shall not.

Does Bollywood no longer adore Amitabh
by BABOOLAL TIWARI on Jun 05, 2007 12:02 PM  | Hide replies

The company of Mulam Singh and Amar Singh has ruined Amitabh. Why did he purchased land in UP and Maharashtra declaring him falsely as a farmer. He adopted corrupt practices and the person who adopts corrupt practices sooner or later loses his honour. Then he ignored the film industry on the occassion of his son's marriage.Even he did not bother to invite Dharmendra who has been his friend.

We all find somewhere Amitabh in us. We can not get away from him easily. Yes the insecurity in us definitely scrolls in, but its just for some time and we all will be Amitabh again. Just have patience. You all will be alright in due course of time.

We are scared of loosing our hero by some small pity troubles. You all demonstrate it here. But will all its evils, evils are temporary and die down with time. You will emerge as winner and you will have your hero with you .

Your hero will be back again. Dont worry. Cheer up.

If I worship Amitabh, perhaps that would be based on real love and reality but if you worship GOD you will be just pretending. Love for GOD starts with love for any human kind irrespective of its character.

very childish and un-professional
by Ashok Gupta on Jun 05, 2007 11:35 AM

This is all so childish and totally un-professional from all.Am not too much of a bollywood fan and look at all this hype with amusement as to how low we have stooped. Pride and arrogance have taken first place and we all know that pride comes before a fall. There is no humility or grace out there and eachone is at each others throat it seems. Well good luck to them if the prefer to live their lives that way. Nothing is permanent. It is shanmeful that while we curse the politiciand educated and rich and so called cultured people are resorting to crooked land deals when they dont need to - just for a few bucks and privlidges.
They do not need to do this as they can afford it !
