Hey friends, I have been reading messages congratulating her. But I dont understand what she has done to win this show. We, indians all across the world have voted her just for that fact that Jade made controversial statements against INDIA, if she had not made those Shilpa would have never won. This shows we have that UNITY when someone is against us and we need to maintain that. SO CONGRAT INDIA not specifically to her.

the same thing cricketers do..then why you sing and dance when india won. i m not supporting this show but opposing the cricket also.
Bravehearted....Have have made every Indian proud. You confronted the situation very well in alien land and made us really pround..we are now top of the world.
I dont understand as why there is so much hype being created. I dont care if Shilpa wins the show or if a martian wins. I am sure there are many who share my sentiments. I also wish the media downplays this "so called achievement". Subramani.

y then we celebrate any sport's victory. stop being skeptical, nobody is asking u to go crazy over this but then she has done well and had made us proud. Many a times she said that she is not representing herself but the whole south east asian community and she never did anythg that we shld b ashamed of. Its not always gud to b cynical.

hi pksingh, in sports, the players represents the country. but in shilpa's case 1. the show is a private one which was conducted by a TV channel 2. Shilpa is not representing all the indians since its not a sports or game hosted by a country

what is there to be proud of? I agree there is nothing to be ashamed of, but there is nothing to be proud either.
Shilpa must donate all her earnings from the show to a fund to help countless hapless and silent suffering victims of racialism. Why must the media sensationilize an equivalent of street side brawl happening inside the closed confines of captivity ? Dr.ASHOK

I agree with you Doctor, but that's too much of an utopian thought.
Honestly, I feel the 'racism' suffered by Shilpa is an everyday menace all over the world. It's so rampant in even our own country where we have Sardars, madrasis, bhaiyyas, so on and so forth.
And I don't know how many ppl are aware of the the torture and humiliation of Indian housemaids going on in the Gulf states and elsewhere? They are subjected to verbal and physical abuse even rape. And these people suffer these because they need the money to look after the family. Now how much space and time is given in media to cover the plight of these women or initiate a dialogue on that? Does it not come under the broader definition of racism?
Will the UK or the US ever allow their citizens to be treated like this in any part of the world? Will they not take the concerned countries to task? What is the so-called Regional Power doing with all the hype of military and economic might??

do u donate all ur earnings to the poor and helpless, or is it that just cos she won in a certain TV show she shld donate all her earnings.

good shashank, that was a valid question you raised.why should a celebrity alone donate for a cause?

dear shashank, If the money was earned by the popularity in rasism, its wise to donate all money as u said

The point is - Is the win attributed to her efforts alone or because of issues not connected to her abilities.
