History rarely repeats itself specially when it comes to classics. It happened recently with Don and Umrao Jaan on the silver screen. Now it has happened with KBC on TV. By the 5th day KBC was rubbing shoulders with the TRP ratings of 7 year old run down serials like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kahani Ghar Khar Ki (3.5-4; see aMap TV viewership ratings) after an average start (5.3)on day 1. It has turned out to be a storm in a tea cup. KBC irrespective of the host will have a niche audience given its great format. Has Shahrukh then really been worth it to the producers? Shahrukh neither has the hosting ability or mass appeal across viewership segments that was required to create a big bang for a diverse TV audience and take it to being a mass programme. He has his own strengths and limitations. He must recognise this and try to do well in what he is good at. He must learn this quality from Aamir. Just like Sunil Shetty can't be Shahrukh, Shahrukh can't be Amitabh.

Most of the contestants being in middle age, they get along very well with SRK,for which the credit goes to SRK, one may lose the game but still go back home happy because they are more than happy to meet SRK... i noticed that was not the case with AB therefore SRK scores over AB any day at KBC

This is foolish comment. In past atleast all contestants unanimously told that for them the real prize is to meet AB, actually that is not the case with SRK. Many contestants doesnt like him and his behviour. And after less than a month picture will be more clear.

Do you know for last KBCs when AB was hosting people were just coming to see him? In just a few episode one lady openly insulted SRK ans shown how he is going well with contestents. This atleast never happened with Bacchan.

The reason is obvious.AB handled the show with grace and respected everybody.SRK beleives in antics.
with due regards n respect ur emmaculate energy level n talent..i would like to advice u to refrain from such foolish act to match up mr amitabh..let me meake u realise..tht u stand nowhere near him..
ur act of reformating don in that astala-vista style..was a laughing stock...it was an rubbish remake...u were nowhre near him or the character...
the same goes in kbc...ur muttering n well practiced notes wont take u anywhere..mr bachchan was a genius,lively,intelligent,humble n art to watch...

Never compare Big B and SRK. Each one have their own style. Big B's show was very good. SRK u are also doing great yaar. The massaging part doesn't look good, otherwise its really fantastic. Good luck to u SRK for the ensuing show.

There is very simply- NO comparision!!Amitabh is THE man and poor Sahrukh should be content to stay the "also ran" in this supposed "contest"! Its hilarious even to think of comparing him to Amitabh!!
