I dont believe that the whole movie was reduced to a caricature of the original - Billa!! The reviewer rightly observed some Memorable roles were just eliminated to make room for skin and cleavage...Ajith seemed to be hamming in the movie..not his fault though probably the director failed miserably.. If at all you want to watch this movie please dont have any expectations and dont even compare with the original..

Hi Rediff Review Team ... My Personal Request to Whole Rediff Team Please Kindly Recheck the Reviews while you Posting in the Site.This TVS.Mani Spoiling the name and garde of Rediff... Please ask TVS.Mani to watch the BILLA Movie again and post the review. Surely we are disappointed by this Review
overall its a good entertainer. its racy and never loses pace, stylish and slick. but the dialogues are nowhere close to being sophisticated. they're bad, corny and make you frown. for eg., namita gets up and all of a sudden says, "billa, enaku unna evalo pudichirku theriyuma? unakaga uyiraye kuduppen" eew!! nayan is good, but needs to work on her abs!! action sequences are well-shot and, more importantly, short and crisp. ajith's intro was kinda stupid and should have been better. background score is great. cinematography is excellent. overall, its almost there, but not there just yet. with a couple more attempts, tamil cinema can boast of stylish film making.
Hi folks,i went for the movie in sharjah-concorde with lots of expectations & after2 hrs & 15 minutes i returned home confused. it could have easily been better off with a proper screen play & some more interesting twists. Vishnu the director has definitely disappointed. most of the time(atleast 3 or 4) we see ajith walking in front of a BMW,Mercedes & jaguar flaunting his belly with a background score.the second disappointment is Yuvan.i m not sure if he had done the background score for this movie.but the real appreciation has to be to nirav sharh the cameraman for his excellent work.shot in excellent locations. since the average fan knows what the story line even before he enter the theater. it is here Vishnu could have done a better with more interesting twists & tale.
Hard luck for ajith & heart attack for the producer.

YEP SENTHIL, ITSNT THE FIRST TIME AJIT HAS GIVEN HEART ATTACK TO A PRODUCER BY MAKING BIG BUDGET FILM! ANOTHER EXAMPLE IS CITIZEN! LOT OF HYPE, BUT TURNED OUT TO BE DUD! TAMIL MOVIE LOVERS, LETS ALL WAIT FOR DASAVATHARAM, N WAIT FOR THE REAL KING KAMAL SIR!!!

wats wrong in saying lie it is usually done by even the premier english daily The hindu. See the recent article and interview about R.Madhavan's latest hit Evano Oruvan.if a tarditional daily like The Hindu is doing these kind of things for well known and never spelt reason, why not rediff.?
