Billa Huge hit
by raj mani on Dec 19, 2007 02:43 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Ajit cemented his standing as the number one opener in Kollywood with his latest slick action movie Billa which soared past lofty expectations as it opened to an unbelievable 97 percent from 10 Chennai screens. It is the second best opening in the history of CBO, and Ajit's finest opening! In Mount Road area, the film opened in four screens- Sathyam, Inox, Woodlands and Albert and in three days did 48 shows and reported 100 percent! Truly incredible, Ajit is the king of kings! Actually Billa, would be number 1 to 5 in our CBO, because the rest of the movies put together do not match up to its collections! At number two is Will Smith's action adventure I am Legend, which opened impressively with 85 percent in six Chennai screens. And at three is Vel, in the fourth position is Polladhavan and in fifth position is last weeks number one Kaloori which has crashed.

No confusions....the film is bad
by sumija abraham on Dec 18, 2007 06:16 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Watching Billa was a real boring experience with no traces of acting from Ajith. Probably the director has focussed more on the beauty of Ajith rather than this acting skills. Namitha was really irritating and Nayanthara's facial expressions was really pity. The film should be rated as WORST.

did u really see the movie? everyone know its a remake...its more stylish, quicker screenplay, fast moving, than the earlier 2 dons and billa original.I can feel your jealous on ajith personality by your words.no doubt the film is super duper hit.

CONFUSING OPINIONS!
by daniel craig on Dec 18, 2007 03:10 PM  Permalink

I think this explains the reason y ajit films always have an opening but dont turn out to b hits...while one section of people who r his fans throng the theaters in the first few weeks, there is the other regular movie going section, which ajit has failed to woo completely...thats y there r divided opinions on his films as is the case with billa...when thers so much of difference in opinon about a film, people r confused to go to theater n watch it n it seems billa also has mixed reviews
