Ismail is the best music weaver in India right now. I appreciate Rahman, but Ismail's music is more classy and more integrated. Ismail Darbar is as under rated as Rahman is over rated. I think Ismail Darbar is not as well appreciated becuase in india we just don't have as many people who appreciate good music anymore, no body knows whats good music here anymore. And as a fact i present the stuff thats promoted on TV. We make a lot of trash and trash gets sold. To a music lover like me its heart wrenching. I love a wide range of music from classical Indian to much of Rock ( Led Zeppelin, Floyd, u2, Aerosmith, also Coldplay, Sting and many more). Ismail Darbar is great and i hope he gets more oppurtunity to make good music.
the article on durbar exposes what a proud and egoistic person he is. if he had really been half as talented as rahman he would have got the offers himself instead of havin to shout his head off n cribbing for what is not his due. 2 movies do not make a rahman. let the audience and music lovers decide who is the better musician. and durbars comments on his father and granfather are condemnable. so what if they have not achieved what durbar has....without them durbar would not hv been in this world
Ismail Darbar seems to carry an ego that is bigger than his head. He may say that he does not have an ego and is just stating facts but someone better tell him that humility is the first step towards greatness.
One is not egoistic when respects someone else's work.I dont think Ismail is a better music director than AR RAHMAN.I think he allow his work to talk for him.Well,having 2 musical hits on his back,he has no rights to talk about ARR.
Ismailji, u say ur family background is zero and also say that ur grandfather is a singer. While commenting about ARR also u did the same mistake. Learn to talk properly without contradicting urself and then try for the projects with Yash Chopra, Karan Johar etc..
