very true. study in bad conditions for 10 hrs and work for 10 yrs in india in even poorer conditions for the petty salary that now a tea vendor earns in 15 days, yes dear friend education in india can make u a worker. better open a tea stall or ice cream parlour than becoming a d oc or iit engr and serve 10 yrs of ur prime time . Good. keep it going.

You are right.. I guess the politicians (including indian government) should be given the visas so that they can leave India alone for some growth..

Why not make a rule that you have to feed 100 hungry people each day? Or you can enjoy living off the country because you did not have enough brains to get into IIT

I would suggest you to do an analysis on all the successful companies of India (TCS, Infosys, HAL, BHEL, Hindalco, SAIL etc etc) and look up the resumes of all the high performing managers and engineers. Chances are that you will find that most of them are from really good Indian colleges like IITs and RECs. If not... please advice who is running those companies.. politicians or beaurocrats??

why you forget that our parents also paid the tax and thus we are also tax payers . compete if you have balls and make it to iit or other good institutions which you were not able to do. be a man , face the truth.

what so big deal if they are after money. if taxpayers money is being spent to educate em so be it. get a life dude take it easy everybody is free to do what they want lawfully. why should anyone have a problem with that. stupid!
If IIT Grads can return home, why cant ordinary grads return their home towns or villages. Most head honchos of MNC IT and BPO's think that talent is available in Bangalore and other metros, even a cursory look at the workplace in an MNC will show that most of the talent is from small towns and villages of other parts of the State or other states. It is high time these companies realize this and open more units in the smaller towns. The main advantages are that the employees can be closer to their parents which augurs well for the society in general, prevent metros from being overcrowded, get same work done at a lesser cost and overhead. It is time for Bangalore to be Bangalored, but do the top management have the courage to set up in smaller towns.

I agree many well performers are from small towns and cities. but setting up a full fledge office in small city is a different game all together. Fulfilling infrastructure needs wont be easy at all. Why do u think companies, as small as mine or as big as IBM, start offices in prime locations with property rents being the bigest pain? Readily available raw material! Human force is the raw material for all businesses... And also, nationalization is other fact. In cities like Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai its very easy to find employees with all different backgrounds.. however, it will take time but companies are already eyeing smaller cities for cost cutting..

See Ashwin, please don't think everybody running for money. Lot of IITains really cares about the quality of work experience. May be that is why some of them are still going to abroad and after gaining experience and knowledge, they are returning to India. Satarupa is an nice example. I also have similar plan in my mind.

Please keep these stupid comments to yourself. Individuals like you cannot think beyond money. I got a B. Tech from IIT-KGP and returned to India after a Ph.D. in US to teach in another IIT (taking a 20x cut in salary). And at that time the dollar was 48. There are many more like me - look through the IIT faculty webpages.

Then you are a true fool. Even IIT can't teach you what is the way to success.

is all crass. One can love his country by staying 10 hrs. Are all those living in India have huge love for everything Indian?

Wait,
how is the quest for money, success and luxury lesser/amoral justifications for coming back to India. we all want what is best for us. People now have to apologize for seeking success???
How is missing cows a morally superior reason to practical career oriented reasons. What sort of disgruntled screwed up logic is that?

NRI's are arrogant, self centred and they are in single minded pursuit of money and luxury. They are of no use to our Country.Let India be built by Indians. Not by these opportunists.
