I appreciate your brave effort in increasing the oil prices. This will hamper your dream of sitting on PM seat again, but you have proved that your indian prime minister. At the first thought i was very angry when i heard about the increase in petrol costs, but then when i thought about it, i felt it must happen or else the situation wud have been worse if delayed. Oil companies across the world are shutting their shutters due to increase in the global petroleum price. Subsidy at this point of time is not possible for any government. I once again appreciate this unselfish decision and hope that the opposition parties too will understand and address this issue rather then taking this issue as an election agenda. Only learned and educated people can understand the complexity of this problem. No political party wud ever increase the cost of petrol in an hour like this when elections are round the corner. i request the intelligent duo of PM and FM to control the inflation and increase the food production. Jai hind.

Only people with very low IQ think that Manmohan and Chidambaram understand Economics. Neither of them understands Economics. You confuse speaking good English with Economics.
Here are some home truths -- Chidambaram was a socialist/Communist in the 1970s and 1980s proving beyond all reasonable doubt that he is a foolish person. Manmohan was instrumental for socialism for 30 years of his career. He was in every socialist position like Planning Commission Chairman, Indo-Soviet Trade Commision, RBI, adviser to Finance Ministry etc.
In short, he is a fool who does not understand Economics. He is suitable for being an obedient servant. PVN understood this very well and so gave him orders to open up the economy. Even though Manmohan did not understand what opening up the economy meant, he was a good servant and knew to execute orders. So some good came out of it. The credit for opening up the economy goes to PVN.
Now, Manmohan executes Communist ideas. He takes orders from Sitaram Yechury and Sonia Maino. He actually stands up for the entire time when Sonia Maino is around.

Well its a cunning effort, they should have done is long back. In fact they should have continued with the policy of regulation of prices by market as it was decided in BJP regime. But for the petty gain they played with economy. Because of no change in petroleum prices share market could not realise the real health of economy, people went on thinking Indian economy is independent of US economy. People were happy pumping in money into stocks and pumping money to real estate taking the prices to unrealistic level. Now there will be reality check and again rippling effect will wipe of peoples hard earned money which they put in real estate and stocks. Congress has again played with AAM ADAMI and AAM ADAMI will again think Congress did good to them.

Sam, that is pretty good thinking. I do feel that, it should have been done earlier. However, I heard that there is an excise cut on fuel. Now that is a bit threatening. Not sure, if the UPA govt has done enough of dry run to see the impact.

AAM AADMI, is not anymore illiterate and heroworshiping like they where in Nehurian times;) The Commies have lost their voice. How do patriotic Indians vote for a party whose interests are more in checking America, and supporting China, rather than the interest of the AAM AADMI, and foremost of all India's long term strategic Interests;)
Marxists want to occupy both the ruling space and opposition space. You have to give them credit for their cleverness. Most of them are Brahmins who have denied OBCs and Muslims their share in West Bengal, yet they know how to use these segments as vote banks.

shameless people..y r they doing bandhs if they r not withdrawing support..
CPM is not going to win more than 20 LS seats in the next general election. UPA govt is surviving just because of CPM is backing this corrupt govt. Therefore people are very angry and they are just waiting for a chance to teach the CPM a lesson. CPM was totally against INDIRA GANDHI & RAJIV GANDHI. So just think why the CPM is blindly supporting SONIA ? I don't think KARL MARX belongs to italy.

CPM and Congress started Moitri express to make West Benagal full of Muslims and terrorists who will keep voting them and keep alive. Let country go to the hell, but CPM and Congress want to win by hook or crook.
CPM ne meherbani kiya....of not withdrawing support.....commies should exported out of india..thier state of mind agurs well with un reached tribes in amazon jungle........wht say guys?
there are reported prakash karat and brinda is getting huge money from the congress party for their support to UPA GOVT. To cover up this the commis are staging strike and harthals in their strong holds. Prakash and his wife are fooling the poor commies. I request the ordinary commies to demand for a probe and enquire how much money KARAT AND FAMILY deposited in the swiss bank.

You have demanded probe - that's enuf, boss. Ordinary people will not be able to see ur post on rediff. Thik hai, Ramesh Bhai?
Both congress and CPM is dominated and controlled by one family. Congress is totally controlled from 10 janpath by Sonia "gandi" and CPM is controlled by HUSBAND (PRAKASH) and his wife (BRINDA). PRAKASH & BRIDA has free access to 10 janpath than any other senior most congress leaders. In kerala & bengal both these parties fight each other and when they reach in DELHI they drink, eat together without any hesitation. peopel are just waiting to teach these opportunists a lesson. You cannot fool all the people all the times. Due the CPM's anti-development policy KERALA & BENGAL is lagging behind all other states in various fields. They preach one thing and do something else. Wake up countrymen and throw this opportunistic alliance in the arabian sea.
