RE:Wipro Missing

As a Software Professional with 17 Years of work eperience, i would say, WIPRO & HCL DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE IN TOP 10
I am curious about this. All these companies earn in billions and show a reserve of huge money. But, have they done anything original? Since Linux is very much freeware, why can not these companies do something good for the general use? these companies always beg with MS. Can Infosys or TCS or wipro spare little of their reserve money to develop something good in Linux and let the whole world use that? All govts give them land and many things at the throw away cost to make them great. other than employment, what these companies give back?
Can anyone name atleast 5 original software tools with the affordable price to the general public?
If these companies do something original with affordable price, we need not pay huge amount to MS everytime we buy a new computer.
So, it is obvious, these software bigges do their business only to get more rich and nothing else.
here is a challenge: can any of these biggies come out with useful software tools to make the life of general public easy and convenient?
I donot have any intention to hurt anyone. But, this is a harsh reality i found now. If i am wrong, correct me.

Hello Balaji, A big question for you. Will you buy softwares by paying money? .... Most of them are using pirated ones ..... so if you make product ...you will end up in .....loss.
Name a software for General public and for what use? You mean budget planner or what ?
Only Microsoft can survive as people from some class A, B pays for the software.

well Sebastian.. I use only legal software including OS, Acrobat, Virus Scanner and Visual Studio net and many others. I also sell software.
The software biggies can develop many many low cost tools. Yu really believe those companies wait only for me to initialize this discussion? Let them pick up a team and give them resources out of their reserve, then watch the team doing wonders.
well.I have given back more value to all my customers. Because of our products, govt might have saved atleast good amount of Foreign exchange.
I donot want to give more details. But, i am honest. I follow what i expect from others. Either yu trust me or leave me as some one without any sense. Iam not worried.
yes..these companies give jobs along with social imbalance Ask yr non IT friends.
I make my point very clear. I am not aganist these biggies. I expect them to do something original and innovative to serve more along with earning money. If yu are curious... most of the open source developments happen out of India. Only few individuals from India contribute towards this out of their self interest.Let the companies earn any number of billions. I expect them to contribute to the general public with their so called software power.
I just conveyed my views. Nothing more. India also needs this kind of companies. I donot deny this. But, i expect little more from them apart from jobs and etc.
Regarding the land ,etc, ask yr friends doing business. They will tell yu how difficult i

Sorry my message was truncated.
yr friends will tell yu how difficult to get a piece of land from govt for their industry. For yr info, i donot use any govt land.
This is the first time, i get into this kind of discussion. If i missed any point, kindly point that to me without getting personal. I will be thankful.
Iam 100% honest. Iam not here to find fault with anybody. It is my simple expectation. Nothing more.
Simple truth is, if the software biggies decide to do something constructive, they can do much more than govts.

The harsh reality is , the above mentioned software companies do not really believe in product business as it is said by many of those ceos, 'we are experts only in services and not in products. Why take risk? After all we are providing employment to lakhs of people which otherwise would have been a burden to the economy'. In some ways they are not wrong. They are exploiting what they can exploit the best, the human capital, which is a fundemental rule of any business. And , every one knows they are here for business and not for social service. And , no one stops us from creating our own software and market it. Its just that they feel they are not good at it. Why blame them? Establishing a brand demands lot of capital which in present circumstances in india, no one would like to experiment with. I very much agree that only these brands which last in value ,but we can't blame these companies for that. I work with Infosys and we have a product called Finacle. It is very clear that , it took 17 yrs for Finacle to come to this shape and it is still not treated as the best product. Forget about software ,name one brand from any sector from India which is famous and used world wide??Software is no exception.

We understand your concerns Mr. Patel. We will ask our companies to think from front side but not from his side [not sure what do you mean by this].

Out of the top 10 companies only I-flex earns maximum on its product revenue and is the top product sofware company in India in revenue and size. That is the way to go if India needs to have a size and scale of Microsoft. I think Oracle is doing right in acquiring I-flex in toto and launching it across the globe

The companies you have listed are not Indians and also not everyone of them are into IT/Software.
I agree that these companies are rated by considering their revenues and profits. But, let me know among these 10 companies, who is the BEST payer in the market.
