Singur and Mamata
by Guest on Aug 27, 2008 04:37 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Pity with condition of Mamata.With around 100-150 partcipants in dharna clearly indicates even the owners of that "400 acres" are not with Mamata. Othewise the crowd should have been in thousands continuously available with Mamata if they were against Nano project. In fact, Mamata did not do any development in Singur for decades prior to Nano project coming in. With this project per day earnings of local people of Singur double/tripled (even for locals who are not involved in construction work of the project as selling cucumber, tea, etc). As a result Mamata is afraid with this development by govenrment in Trinumal dominated area. people of Singur might move out in favour of government. So to distrupt governments success she is agitating. This clearly shows she does not have any sympathy or motive to support the farmers who actually wants the project to be successful. It's only a vote bank loss which is driving Mamata to disrupt lives of thousand others.

Dear Tigers,

Please rise above politics and think pragmatically. Nano is not a business venture but a courageous realization of a dream of an INDIAN to showcase the world that we in INDIA have the zest and spirit to deliver the impossible. We can compete with the best in the world and can usurp into a global player in innovation and manufacturing process which ahs been the stronghold of developed nation for ages. Hence support the movement by foiling the gameplan of MNC's who may have bribed politicians to increase the costing of Nano for their own business interest.

Safety on Road - that who care attitude
by ashirwad developers on Aug 27, 2008 03:38 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Often it is noticed some of the vehicles display their number plates written either in awkward shapes and sizes to mislead the passersby or in devanagri script, which is totally against RTO Rules. Unfortunately, these people get escaped, because nobody care and these lawbreakers get immunity and think they are above law. In such situation, it will be useful, if an option is available on the web site, whre one can post the details of such vehicle owners, without disclosing the identity of people who report about such vehicleowners. The website should ask only for vehicle numbers, and RTO will be able to track down the vehicle owners and take necessary action. Simultaneously, a monthly action taken report should also be published showing such vehicle, where one would be able to verify, so that public will be encouraged to report and prevent such law breakers.

Tata is the only nataionalist Industrailist.

May be Ambani worlds no1 by wealth, but Tata is No. 1 by respect. Tata was respected by us, is resecting by us and will respect by us.

A few politial parties tarnishes the image of our West Bengal. They should first think about our West Bengal, its industrialisation and over all its development. Whatever they are doing for the sake of politics it is very very bad from the point of view of our growth and stability. I hope so-called political parties are pondering over the immediate chaos being created by them in West Bengal and not let them down more and more

Do not believe these people. They call themselves communists and spend crores on Kali and Durga puja. They were always against the centre and spoiled innocent Biharis and UPite's by asking them and making them travel free in rail and also occup[y forcebly lands and other important govt. positions illegally.Bangals have ruined this country. Then, why blame Kashmir muslims?

@vsgiri
If you had known a little about communists you would have known that they *donot* believe in God. Talking about Durga puja etc is senseless. It is not the govt who spend that money but residents. If you follow the same logic you should stop ganpati puja in mumbai.. FIRST TRY TO KNOW THE REALITY THEN COMMENT

I am from Kolkata and donot believe in communist ideology but the current govt is at least making an effort...

Why not encourage them instead of arguing!
