Best thing to do
by Shyam on Aug 28, 2008 04:14 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

"If people say that that we will protect our investments irrespective of anything then they are wrong. I will not bring in my employees to Singur if there is threat of them being beaten up. Tata will do whatever necessary to protect its employees."

The message carries, its quality and meaning. And I hope it might have reached to right place of the politicians.

Thank you very much for believing on UTTARAKHAND, the hill state.
But what about other companies like Infosys, Wipro, Satyam and MindTRee?
When will they acquire the land in Uttarakhand?

Nano, singur and Mamata
by Girish Shah on Aug 28, 2008 01:10 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is rather unfortunate that Tata has to contemplate taking this world class venture elsewhere. So much is at stake for the Tatas. The venture is one of its kind.It is a breakthrough that comes once in a long long time.Major Auto manufacturers have sat up,taken notice and even begun to believe that afterall it can be done. But unfortunately politicians like Mamata incapable of looking beyond the visible and insensitive to the spirit that is behind NANO, have taken on the role of spokespersons of farmers and chosen the path of conflict instead of ways of reconciliation of diverse interests of Business and farmers. It has been mighty difficult for Businesses in our country to persue a dream that is economic in nature. And we talk of attaining economic freedom.Businessmen like Tata are no less martyrs for they have been working against huge odds.People like him go on despite circumstances not being in alignment. Therefore, I beleive his show will go on and it must.Afterall it is so much of an inspiration for all of us.

Ratan Tata is a man of steel( pun intended). He wont mind risking 1500cr if people like the shameless Mamta and the likes of her try to arm twist him. High time people of bengal understand that their rel enemy is within their state ( CPM, TMC etc). Bengalis are a suceesful race but only outside their state. within their state they are reduced to the state of beggars. Mamta should be castrated( The way she talks like an uncouth rickshaw puller puts her in the category of male).

Mamata the insensitive so called leader without vision is making life of other millions of other people miserable. If she is not able to see the project coming up, she should immediately leave West Bengal and let the Nano project happen. But she should not go to any other state of India as she is cabale enough to pull legs to bring down development anywhere. Probably she should move to Pakistan then aleast in some way she will be positively contributing towards her motherland.

when ur home is taken away by the govt. or TATA for the development of an area or the city, will u be able to give away ur house and live in the foothpath.
there are several persons engaged in farming activities on a particular farmland. so taking away their land means they are all jobless, compensation can't give their livelihood back. TATA also won't give emploment to these poor & illetrate farmers. MAMATA is right in agitating for the farmers who have been deprived of their liveli hood.

Come on Bongs!!!!! Take charge
by Netra Maithun on Aug 27, 2008 05:44 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It’s a shame! Just when the CPM after years of dogmatic politics was showing signs of pragmatism, Mamta happened. I hope the people of Bengal recognize the true nature of this issue and punish the politicians accordingly. The NRB ( non resident Bengalis ) like NRIs, do excellently in other parts of India. Just like with liberation, India has turned a new leaf, Today is Bengal’s Chance. We can not have a state, like Bengal, to turn cancerous. We need an economically strong Bengal, in India’s tryst with destiny…. Though I am not a Bengali, I sincerely hope that the Tata Nano project actualizes in WB and in Singur
