All that is said above is not happening under their brabd name/s. Fascinated for several years I applied to have "TATAINDICAOM" product. But ended up with cheated and for a quite a long time I carried feelings of decieved. Therefore, TATAs of yester years have to be taken with several pinches of salt before hug them!!!
I was born and brough up in Marxist strong hold at Kannur n kerala. In my childhood i used to hear the political speaches of The Communist leaders and they use to say Tata's and Birla's are the Monopolistic industialist and they exploit the Common man and workers.
But years later now its clear to me "Its not the Tata or Birla , the other Industrial Houses are not the exploitors's but these Communist and the all Indian Politians are the real culprits.
Its now for all Indian's to fight the Politian, we must punish the politians to save our nation.
We need many More Plants like nano's n every corner of the country.
When Maruti built 25 years ago in Gurgoan it has brough a new oppertunities for millions by way of Direct and Indirct Employment in and around Gurgoan, same is happened at Chennai where Hyundia has got a plant.
Please the Bengali's you all are beeing exploited by mamta and the equally communist for years.
Untill you kill their interest The Bengal's will never progress

In this age of competetive populism what do you expect but the slow death of national interest at the altar of personal and party interest.with leaders like these who needs enemies outside our country? We have enough of them within and they are even more efficient and lethal.
It is the lack of right planning and foresight and offcourse attitude that is creating all the problem, Communism or Mamata are just 2 different thought process which has come alive due to poor planning, Communist are very poor in setting up industry they lack foresight, they have helped at one time to close down numerous industries.

Dear Mr Ratan Tata, If you can keep the price of Nano almost stagnant for so many years, why can't you do the same with Low-floor buses being supplied to DTC. Something is fishy!!!

Its very simple. nano is designed by tata as per their own specification. They can make a change in design to cut the cost. However DTC buses are approved based upon a pre-fixed set of design / specification. Tata cannot change the design to cut the cost to deliver the bus. Thats how system happen.
Besides I dont know if you really understand the way Tata works. I have worked there at senior level. Its the only company in India which doesn't offer cash bribes, will fight legislation for years instead of paying few bucks to government clerks. So stop complaining and dreaming that something is fishy.

Food cab be imported if you have money, but not jobs. If the country is less industralised Govt earns less tax which funds education-food for poor. It is the poor who are real losers because educated class can even go abroad but there is no world demand for Indian farmers' job skills.

We are self sufficient with food - you want tom turn this around and turn your agricultural area to industry and import food for 100 crore population, you know China do not spend money to import food. Importing food for some many ppl will crush this economy..

Surprise, everybody talking about TATAs. Friends what about farmers, they were offered only double the price of their land at that time 2 years back. After a year or two they will spend the money and ONE TIME WELTHY FARMER WILL TURN TO BEGGER. Now SINGUR farmers are having excellent socio-economic condition due to 3-seasonal corps in a year. TATA must be operational from Singur when 80% work have been done. But TATA must allow farmers to live with prosperity also- 1.TATA/GOVT should give one job each land looser family. OR 2.TATA must give yearly divident to landlooser from a portion of its SINGUR output.
EXPECTING YOURS REMARKS ON THIS OR ANY ALTERNATIVE PROPOSAL TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE.

I dont think Tatas will have any problem giving employment to the affected people, it was part of the deal. A divided also sounds like a fair idea, in fact the farmers must be given Tata Motors shares so that they own their lands in reality, by owning shares of Tata Motors
I would rate Mr. Ratan Tata and Tata Group as NO 1 to No 9 in the industry. Reliance would take 250 years to reach the respect commanded by tata's If at all they change for better

I dont know by which calculation you term Reliance as 10 time bigger than Tata. Turnover of Tata companies are far more than reliance. Indeed Ratan Tata is not the richest man because Tatas are managed by the trust, which are mostly non profit trusts. Ambanis heck if they get a chance they will break into my house and they will steal food.

dear akhil, pls update ur knowledge. if u r referring to Mukesh ambani's RIL, the revenue of which is 136 lac crs while that of only tata steel is 132 lac cr. this is just one of the 96 companies owned by tatas. reliance is big only in terms of market cap but that is because reliance indulges in speculation. see the fate of people who invested in ADAG after the fall in market??

Why do u think everything is gone after JRD. Did you know any tata executive engaged in paying even 1 lakh rupee in bribe to get a project. Heck in here VPs are allowed to spend 1000 rupee a day maximum and for that too we had to get approval. Worked in Reliance as well, there the motto is get the project regardless of breaking the rules, bones or ethics.
