Taking away farmers land, doing development no doubt, but at the cost of poor people making them poorer. Tata says it protects its employees, but well well what a joke - they make their employees as bonded labours. Freshers join the company with 2 years of bond and if they leave before that, they have to pay good amount to TATA, what a shit is this and yet these are insiration. Why don't TATA build NANO factory in another different land where the land belongs to some rich firms, then they can fight a case in their so called rich way. A company which treats its employees as bonded labours does not deserve to have prestige.

Poor people should commit sucide or else they will be killed by rich as it happened
Tata is well known through out the world for his prestige. I wish he should quit WB Other states who invite him for NANO can easily compensate this 1500 crore as a prestige and respect to our TATA Thanks and Regards

he should quit bengal as he has not come here in the last 100 years. He would not have come if he had not got the most ridiculous deal that he got in west bengal and hence the west bengal govt is not showing the details of the agreement. why should the poor farmer lose for ttatas. the tatas have not improved the lot of crores of buharis or jharkandis. why do they have their head office in mumbai and not in tatanagar????
Tatas always follow principles and Ratan Tata commands lots of respect.... WB is becoming the worst state overtaking UP and Bihar because of minority appeasement there....
WE are proud of our democracy yet frustrated at the petty politicians it churns out.POiticians are said said to be universally corrupt. But the question is at what level and to what extent? In democracies of US and Britain bipartisan practise comes to play whenever any issue of national importance arises. In India even that is not possible be it the kashmir issue,Advani's diabolical stand on the nuclear deal or Mamata Banerjee cooking her own plans to become WB's CM.So you see there is hope anywhere.Even the supreme court has left India to od's hands.

I agree with you totally.... i was too dissapointed when BJP opposed nuclear deal.... it shows they are not as principled as they claimed to be....

biharis are no better then their politicians...no need to speak further on it...whole of india knows...they r the burdain we all have....
it is probably mamta is financed by other auto to stop the project.obivously how can cpm see any indian growing over china.and if mr ratan tata withdraws the proposal of seeting a factory there then i think any company will think before investing in bengal also they will go 15 yrs back growth wise.pepole like mamta work only for themselves mr ratan tata has a dream for country &middle class so i think people like her should be unheard.the statement made by mr tata is loud & clear.wake up bengal
This great man deserves it more than anyone in India. Because of him India is in the civilized world. If This man had more freedom to do what he wanted during Indira gandhi's socialistic times India would have beaten Hundai and other car manufacturers. India might have even made planes. Thanks to commies like Dange and others who were always on his case. Today narayan Moorthy and Premji are enjoying so much support from the GOVT.Tats are way above Murthys and Premjis.
India's main problem lies with petty politicians every where, whose only job is to sabotage any good project or idea, thus stalling country's progress, just for the sake of money or votes or for power for themselves. This fact has been proved time & again. In my opinion,Tata's should have withdrawn their project in the initial stage itself when signs of problem started brewing last year.By doing that they would have saved lot money belonging to Shareholders which went into this project so far.Even, now it is not too late to withdraw, because there is no guarantee that even after settlement of issues on hand, these petty politicians could raise their ugly head any time in future to blackmail the investors.

Great i salute to Ratan tata if anybody else would be there He would have not thought of setting such a prestigious project in state full of crooked fellows like Mamata , I happened to know she has taken 50 crores just to make all this drama... What a country...where is Singh who became king overnight ..he should resolve it..
Does she want enhanced price or does she want the farmers to cultivate the land? What is her objective? If she wants more price she needs to ask the WB government or if she believes the govt has sacrificed cultivatable land, she should put facts and figures of the previous years produce. Just because TATA would not get into goonda and dadagiri mode she should not test their patience. Definitely irresponsible and opportunistic. How can she say take another piece of land? Is that hers? Is it useful to TATA's to build their factory in this manner...What a shame we have politicians like this...

Hi, Who says mamta is a politician. She is a masked extortionist. She first took money from TATA'S opponents and now demanding TATA's pay for her elections, else she stalls the project. God save WB, is this worm (Mamta) is let loose.

its below prestige for TATA's to stay there.....whatever be the cost of shifting or whatever they shud move out from WB to any industrialised state....
It’s a shame! Just when the CPM after years of dogmatic politics was showing signs of pragmatism, Mamta happened. I hope the people of Bengal recognize the true nature of this issue and punish the politicians accordingly. The NRB ( non resident Bengalis ) like NRIs, do excellently in other parts of India. Just like with liberation, India has turned a new leaf, Today is Bengal’s Chance. We can not have a state, like Bengal, to turn cancerous. We need an economically strong Bengal, in India’s thrust with destiny…. Though I am not a Bengali, I sincerely hope that the Tata Nano project actualizes in WB and in Singur

Dont say the CPM has become Constructive. Only Buddadev is trying to change the BANDH culture. But the hard core LEFT is still the original Decadent lot which has spoiled Bengal for 50 Years. Dont expect people like Bardhan and Karat to do anything constructive Bengali Intellect plus marxism is a destructive Potion! The poison has to be gradually removed. Not in one shot!

This saying doesn't hold true today. Check the human development index for all the states. You will know the real picture of your 'intellectual' state.
