The loss to academia is a gain to industry
by Gajanan Mohite on May 21, 2007 04:54 AM

Dr Gharda in not getting a permanent job at UDCT , must be due to his not getting along with his supervisor Dr GP Kane , who must have been the power center during that time. This happens all over the world in academics. To be Foucaultian, the power center when hurt by a new recruit seeking a position in academia , will find it difficult to get a position. In India , it is called the Banyan tree approach (akin to Bhakthi Yoga ) In the West it is called Empire building.

Dr Gharda not going into academics is great gain to industry. He has created wealth and given employment to so many. Three cheers for Dr Gharda and may his tribe increase.

No Future for youngsters with Dr.
by Rajesh R Udupi on May 21, 2007 12:47 AM  | Hide replies

dear Dr.

I always admired you for your r&D and innovation, I knew most of your High Performance development. As a young India Foreigners were expected us to do some thing in this line. Young passouts of UDCT who were enthusatic were cut out of the old people handing over the batton and infra, Pigment plant of your was claimed to be watched for India shinning. But they all are disapointed as by the time the products came out chinese went ahead and still your company is yet to comeout with one or two products at par quality in commercial scale. If you dont pass on the batton to the youngsters of the country there is no use of your hard work
