Export Firms
by mohammed yunus on Feb 28, 2007 01:41 PM  | Hide replies

With global market becoming very competitive, the present budget has done nothing to make Indian company to compete in global arena. Indian exporters must be given special attention, concession, relief from all duties, taxes. This will in turn benefit India's BOP as the huge inflow of forex can reduce fiscal defecit.
On the contrary, Indian exporters are left in the lurch again, making them totally unfit to enter the global market

Yunus bhai - Though Ur views have got substance, it was valid some 10 years back - how long do you expect the government to support the industrialists?? They amass more wealth which was intended towards the usage of general public. It is high time they start earning competitively. Once they become competitive, everything else will fall in its place.

As usual rubbish budget. PC has always done this. He will tease middle and lower income group as he does not have craze to go after corrupt. As 70% of them represent his own party. Keep it up and do for 2 more year till your party gets reduced to 2 digit in next election.

I have observed over year that Mr Chidambaram has a very negative outlook about taxation. HE prefers a regressive regime. He must clear his understanding of Luffer Curve effect of reduced taxation.

No doubt, Mr Manmohan Singh, is the best Finance Minister India ever had.

Maar Daala.... Re Chidambaram ....tune ... Maar daala
by Mohammad Jamal on Feb 28, 2007 01:40 PM  | Hide replies

I was hoping against hope that this year would bring some relief for the salaried class people (to some extent i can say the only taxpayers)
Considering the rise in inflation and other factors that were observed and affected the people like us I somewhere was hoping that there would be some relief for people like us.
Unfortunately what actually happenned is that FM has thrown a "BHEEK" in terms of thousand rupees for us.
Take it and you still find yourself paying more in terms of service charges on anything you can think of.
The Aam aadmi has been left with the hope of 'Aam ki Ghutli' rather than anything else (I suspect even if the ghutli is there or that is also an illusion)
The relief has been given to people who can buy diamonds, five star and other luxury hotels etc.
Wow man....
congress ka haath... Aam aadmi ki G... pe laath.

Sorry but true.
hopeless.

Each American gets a standard deduction of $3000 per family member. Indian effective tax rate is more than Americans considering the small income we make.

I will be still happy if the govt gives us a standard deduction of $3000 for the whole family altogether to start with.

Budget and Congress
by G on Feb 28, 2007 01:40 PM  | Hide replies

Nothing is going to happen unless and until the middle class (salaried class) thinks that VOTING is essential for their survival.
All this is happening because of negligence of middle class about their voting rights. Congrees is pulling their VOTE(selfish) bank out of their houses and winning the elections.
In any constituency mere 50% voters go for voting where there are about 20 candidates. Winner gets 15% of votes( actual 7.5% of total votes) and rules for 5 years.

Give your Vote to any candidate but don't give it Congress at any cost.

Hey,
It's our duty to present the facts before common man(who is being fooled for years). We have to take the initiative now so that atleast our next generation will be free from this type of religion and caste based politics.

WHAT A COMMON PERSON WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM FM?
SOME KIND OF RELIEF THROUGH TAXATION
1.INCOME TAX LIMIT SHOULD HAVE BEEN Rs.200000/-
2.PROFESSION TAX TO EXEMPTED
3.MORE PRIORITY TO COMMON PEOPLE RATHER THAN GIVING PRIORITY TO HIGHER CLASS PEOPLE
