PC has again delivered a sub-standard budget with intentional abuse of the salaried class.
The people of this country should teach a lesson to this worthless guy.
What the people of Punjab did recently will happen in U.P. & then All-India. I would request Sonia to wake & boot this PC out or he will sink a great Party like the Congress along with him.He is an opportunist who was with the break-away group & then joined congress purely for selfish means.
If action not taken immediately, BJP will come back to power for no reason at all & with no achievements to their credit but because of the congress inaction.

After the onions and pulses rate increase which cost the Congress government the Punjab and Uttaranchal elections, now the Congress govt will have to face flak across the nation for increasing the home loan rates. The middle class will never forgive Chidambaram, Dr Reddy of RBI for upsetting their budgets. COme to us in 2009 and we will will show you your rightful place. Time for the Indian middle class to show the Congress politicians their rightful place. In the dustbin of history.
we had loads of expectation on your this years budget. till s'day night i was hoping that the limit on saving will be increased to 1.5 lakhs, but today i am totally disappointed with this budget which thinks 10,000 is a great amount and will give great relief to salaried class, as you might be aware we have taken housing loans only for the sake of getting some tax exemption as the first point, to be frank i can only say Govt of India is repeatedly exploiting Salaried class and targeting them year after year.

Pay promptly ... or ... are forced to pay due to TDS. If the TDS was not there, I would have loved to see how many paid taxes promptly :)
As for the budget, I think all the expectations were media hype ... they made money, they are happy. We listened to them, and we are not happy.
All essential goods have become costly...especially food. Expenses of common man are going high. Increasing the personal income tax exemption limit by only Rs 10,000, giving every assessee a relief of Rs 1,000 is good for nothing. Relief of Rs 1,000 per annum is very less. Income tax exemption should had been increased by atleast Rs 50,000 if not by Rs 1,00,000 instead of just Rs 10,000.
IT IS TOTALY HOPELESS BUDGET FOR FOR MIDDLE CLASS PEOPLE. FM GAVE PENUTS TO SALARIED CLASS.
ONLY 10000 IS ADDED IN SALARY LIMIT. FM & PM ARE FAILED TO KEEP HAPPY TO OUR SALARIED CLASS PEOPLE, THIS BUDGET IS VEY USEFUL TO COMPANIES & INDUSTRY & NOT FOR ORDINARY PEOPLE LIKE US
this is the good budget ,in this time budget budget should be deficit budget ,that is done our fm agriculture and infrastructure are also got good part
It is an indication of clear panic signal of UPA govt working. UPA Govt will die soon with its Budget proposal. Chidambram is most useless person in this world.

I am thankful to Chidambaram for giving tax benifit of Rs.83.33 per month.Can someone tell me how can I payback this monthly amount to him so that he remains happy.

U need not required to pay. FM himself will take this amount by INCREASED Education Cess. ashish
People expected the basic exemption limit of 1.5 lakhs but the given exemption is not satisfactory.And also the expectation wrt increase in ceiling of investment which is also not considered. Ultimately there is no good package for the individuals (salary class).
