Budget Allocation skewed
by Debopam Chaudhuri on Feb 28, 2007 02:09 PM  | Hide replies

Huge amounts have been allocated for the betterment of educational oppurtunities to the "socially backward class" inspite of huge amounts of reservations for them now even in IITs and IIMs. And who will pay for that....the so called socially advantageous group who are losing jobs and educational oppurtunities!!!!!

Budget for Industrialist
by siju balagopal on Feb 28, 2007 02:08 PM  | Hide replies

Mr. Chidambaram was always a "PUPPET" of Industrialists. He has proved it again that he is not going to change his status. He never knows the pain of salaired class, Coz he was not in that class. Poor Budget. IT relief should have been minimum 1,50,000 to 2,00,000. The 1,00,000 barrier has be introduced 8 years back. so It should have revised. I think he is not seeing the PRICE INDEX.

Siju,

Politicians will be richer
by Vinod Joshi on Feb 28, 2007 02:08 PM

Before allocating these funds in all the schemes, have you checked where is all the money gone allocated in last budget, whether state govts were able to utilise this money for constructive work. Dear this is all tax payers hard earned money. Politicians will grab this money in the name of poor, same old story continued.. after 60 years Congress ka haaath, goribon ke saath

Budget
by Arun selvan on Feb 28, 2007 02:07 PM

Chidambaram is a Harvard University Graduate and he cannot understand the Living Condition of every Indian Citizen. It seems he is presenting Budget for the UNITED STATES or SOME EUROPEAN UNION COUNTRY.

Before he presents his next Budget he should be sent to the Railway Ministry for coaching purpose from our HONOURABLE RAILWAY MINISTER LALU PRASAD.

CONGRESS & BJP KNOWS ONLY TO LOOOOT but THEIR ALLIES REALISE WHAT THE COMMON MAN NEEDS.

Salaried class has not been thought off. The education cess( should be called polotical cess, ends up in ministers pockets anyways) has been increased too.96000cr for defence spending, why is this required. If they could spend 1/2 of this on salary increments in DRDO and ISRO good talent would join , these ppl are only in filling pockets of Russia,US and israel. 1000 rs tax exemption...wow that makes a difference :-).

What was teh need for this Budget??
by D S on Feb 28, 2007 02:06 PM

There was no need for this budget, it would have saved us a lot of time and effort. There just some cosmetic changes. The other problem for PC is that he announces it after Lalu s path breaking Rail Budget which makes this budget look even worse.I guess PC should have been made the External Afffairs Minister in Place of Natwar Singh and then all would have been happy.
