yes, absolutely. first, we had the reservations issue and now the budget which has done precious little for the middle class.

FM would have done better to seize the initiative and bring in structural reforms in the current tax structure by rationalising it in the face of buoyant tax collections surpassing all previous records but alas! he choose not to do so and instead offered us INR 10000. Come to think of it, INR 10 k would translate to INR 1 k which implies a GRAND SAVING of INR 83 per month. This, according to Mr FM, is enough for the middle class to counter the inflation index!!

All those who support reservations should answer these questions:
(1) Why not reservations for the post of Army Chief, Soldiers, etc?
(2) Will the politicians go to a doctor who passed with reservation for treatment or will they like to go to best doctor in the country/world?
(3) Why there is no reservation for filling up posts in any of the political parties?
(4) Why not have reservation for posts of PM, CM of various states, governors, etc?
Reservations is pure nonsense used by politicians for their own benefit.

Its bit too harsh on congress for bjp too had not done any thing for salaried class (they maintain income tax exemption limit to rs. 50,000 through out their tennure). Yes, PC has been undoubtedly harsh on salaried class and all should pressurise for raising income tax exemption limit to atleast 150,000/-. Congress if it wish to survive and win elections, it has to get rid of Chidambaram sooner or later; better dump him now for he is insensitive to people's sufferings. Thanks.

GOOD QUESTION
ONLY SALARY CLASS PEOPLE ARE CATCHED AS THEY CAN'T CLAIM ANY EXPENSES LIKE DEPRECIATION, ENTERTAINMENT EXPENSES, BUSINESS PROMOTION EXPENSES, TELEPHONE / ELECTRICITY EXPENSES, THIS IS THE MAIN AREA WHERE OTHER INDIVIDUALS GET ESCAPED / AVOID TAX
I TOO WANT TO KNOW IS THERE ANY WAY WE CAN SAY WE DON'T WANT TO PAY TAX / WE CAN CHALLENGE THE BUDGET PROPOSAL ANYWHERE IN ANY COURT OF LAW FOR JUSTICE
CAN ANYBODY LOOK AT THE LAST YEARS COST OF LIVING AND TAX RATES COMPARED WITH THE CURRENT ??????
