by ramchandra nayak on Feb 28, 2007 02:26 PM

I believe that FM has given the budget for the businessmen n higher class. He believes that there is only higher class for budget and remembers middle n poor class at the time of elections for filling of election manifesto.

what about the social security
by prashanth kumar on Feb 28, 2007 02:26 PM

The concept of Sons taking care of parents in their old age is fast demunishing in India and so the pension system. So where is the social security in India. In European countries they collect tax and provide soial secirity at old age.
At least FM should have increased SAVINGS LIMIT to 1,25,000 so that interested people in private sector can increase the savings and plan for retirement

Yes we are all united for this cause... throw them off powers in the next assembly election and see to that.. even in the remotest place they do not come to power.. no more congress persons in the parliment either in lok sabha or rajya sabha... Hope we can confer the title of Most stupidest FM and hang on the walls of Parliment with the photo of PC next to it... may be we should ask how much is the percentage tax collect from the MLA's and MP's to be shared with the public and how much is being spent for them for a stupid budget like this...

Budget
by Pawan Khandelwal on Feb 28, 2007 02:25 PM  | Hide replies

I think all this is because all industries have their association and other bodies who lobby with the govt for their grievances and other benefits while the salaried or so called middle class (which is for more poorer than the poors of developed countries) is taken for a ride. We should also form some type of association / body / blog and show the strength of this to the political parties.

That doesn't mean that everyone will be benefited, it means everyone will be cheated for common goal of making politicians to rule Indians

Tax slab
by Tarun on Feb 28, 2007 02:24 PM  | Hide replies

Dear FM
we sincerely request you to consider increasing the personal income tax exemption limit to Rs 200,000/- to salaried employees, a relief of Rs 10,000/- pa, which is actually just Rs 27.40 relief per day . Think again Sir, you have just made it Rs 2.74 per day, hardly enough to buy a cup of tea one time at a dhaba. This practice of paying premium on inefficiency should go, as we are unable to touch businessman, politicians, bureaucrats & hence everytime its only honest salaried employees like us who are bearing the burnt. Standard deduction should be introduced at Rs 100000/- so as to bring some rational in tax slabs for poor salaried employees, with absolutely no surcharge/cess under any name for salaried class. Why at all uniform tax slabs are required when government can not ensure uniform compliance by all classes. You will appreciate that salaried employees are taxed heavily because others are not paying taxes. You are once again requested to rise to the occassion & take some right decision to spare salaried employees by introducing standard deduction & increasing exemption limit to Rs 200000/-.

Horrible budget. I moved to Mumbai to earn ore money. Little did I realize that it would benefit country more than increasing my disposable income. I fail to understand when tax collections has increased so much why can't they reduce the tax burden on salaried class. Wake up you whole bunch to rich policy makers.

It is the begining of end of Congress. Congress needs no opposotion but Chidambaram, Manmohan and Sonia are enough to finish Congress. It is a Budget or a Toilet paper to be thrown in dust bin.
