This year after the promising Railways Budget and the recent electoral drubbing in two state elections due to price rise, it was expected that Income Tax provisions will be relaxed and simplified for the salaried people. But the FM has other idea in store.
As if the salaried employees have committed any crime for which every year the FM has been levied more taxes. Time will come, when the FM will take every thing we save as Income Tax.

Well, I second you. But how do you think, we can do it when the tax is deducted @ source? Thats the problem. Its not the case with Business Man!
I Think Mr. P Chidambaram should conduct proper ground work before presenting the budget he has to take into consideration all the aspect needed for development, and consider the Tax structure accordingly, all that has been done today is in bits and pieces, it is just a development on the past structure.
FM thinks we the salaried class will be the happiest people with his great offering of Rs. 1000 savings due to the threshold increase.....
Now, with these 1000 rupees in my hands, he is picking my back pocket in form of education cess (extra 1%).
With the left over savings ??? (will I have really, if am paying more cess than the 1000 rupees) I will buy what......BULL SHIT? Even that will become expensive sooner or later with high raising prices.
This budget is DUMB & USELESS for middle class. Middle class can never reach the richer class EVER, thanks to the FM and his useless budgets.
Again it's utter dissapointment from a qualified economist like PC. Its really the bad budget for the salaried class. He should, at some point realise the fact that, the revenue is anyway assured from the salaried class in the form of taxes, why not look for other potential source. Provide some relief to the already burderned salaried class. The inflation is taking its toll on this class and the union budget is only putting the final nail on the coffin. It's time, I feel, we should unitedly air our concerns and now. PC...please wake up for now..at least.
