Understand onething you are going to pay no more than what you paid last year.
We think for ourselves; PC thinks for the country;

Everybody does unnecessary expenses;

Those who curse PC, can stop drinking and smoking(if you have such habits) and save some money.

There are better ways to save money than tax exemption.

How did u come to the conclusion that FM is thinking about the country and not his vote bank....maybe the increased allocation towards "socially backward" classes education inspite of heavy reservations by his colleague Arjun Singh made u think so....is it!! Don't forget we , tax payers are the ones who will pay for it and the FM will only earn in vote bank....an all win-win situation for him

Suthar,

You must be related to FM or are earning below 1.1L. Don't try to teach us how to live. All the best for the type of life you lead, we don't need your advice.

If you are bothered to much replace PC and announce the next budget.

Going by the same datelines......
Socially Advantageous groups paying tax at a rate equivalent to the weight of a new born child in their family called NEW CHILD TAX.
Thats not all.....socially disadvantageous groups getting allowance at a rate corrsponding to weight of the new born in their family known as NEW CHILD BENEFIT

Thumbs up to finance minister for extending MAT to IT Companies which will increase their tax rate by 6% - 7%. Its high time Infosys' and TCS' of the world pay tax and share the burden of the country. These companies are highly profitable and have not been taxed adequately till now.

I fully agree with Balaji. However, I do not understand why our FM does not tax the fat and rich farmers? who enjoy free income in the name of agricultural income and which is also taken advantage of by many salaried persons.

Village vote bank is a major determinant. CPI(M) in West Bengal has managed to be in power for so many years just because of that.

Income Tax computation
by Balamurugan S on Feb 28, 2007 03:10 PM  | Hide replies

If the breadwinner of a family is husband and wife being home maker, how the equality of income structure stands ? Otherwise, what is the logic between submission of IT return by spouses separately. What is the point in NOT inlucind the salary of any other person column ?

Please address this issue in the Budet Proposals positively to maintain equality of tax imposition.

If you take joint incme then wouldnt that be more money gone as tax?

And if you want men also get tax exemptions upto 1,45,000, how much will govt get taxes from the middle class? We can take it as an incentive for women to earn more than men. Let them do it. If the girl earns more and keep it all, why is the boy worried. If you dont show more than the tax limit you dont have to pay taxes as well. how nice!
