Budget proposal
by partha sarathy on Feb 28, 2007 03:36 PM

Any budget in a country, where black money lobbies run a parallal economy,is meaningless. It is a total eye wash that the govt.presents budget.I understand that the quantum of Black money in circulation is more or less equal to the net revenue in the budget. This decides the money in circulation and inflation.Any FM unless do something on the black money lobbies may not be successful?
I know Mr.P.C.knows this but his hands are tied.Poor finance Minister.

women and Salaried Sr. Citizen.

If the real ratio is quite high than what u did calculate.

Then u should resign immidiately.

I hope Laloo 'll be better FM than this literate fellow.

Rapid Snail
RE:Hi FM
by Rapid Snail on Feb 28, 2007 03:39 PM
So are you saying he should offer tax reliefs to everyone?

If no one pays taxes how will the government run this country? Who will build your roads? Who will run the railways, and who will pay the price to protect you(Defense spending)???

Atleast he offered some benefits to Salaried women and the Sr.Citizens.

Good budget overall.

actually we just want to know that why only 3% of people should bear the expenditure? we are taxed twice once directly and than indirectly. industrilst shopkeeper have thousands of ways to avoid tax dont they use the same infrastructure why is it that the expance of a merc is exempted in the name of expance of the business and my schooter to car shift seems to be a dream to me? why ? i know that tax has to be there to build road by why two household earning same money are taxed differently just becase one earn as salary other earn as profit of a bisiness

No body said that he should offfer relief to everyone. You seem to be ordinary snail and not a rapid one.Who released the Quatroochi,s account. Again he was allowed to get away in Argentina.Do not be blind to facts. The question is hhow a common man will balance his budget.Manmohan singh will raise the DA of Government employees which will come from the common poor mans thali.6th pay commission will further their interest and doom the common poor people.

Funny most people are complaining of salaried persons paying taxes
by samson lawrence on Feb 28, 2007 03:34 PM  | Hide replies

But whose income is really recorded black and white? All the industrialists and rich people can use CA's to show the incorrect amount and get reliefs. So honest salaried people pay taxes isnt surprising. But not wanting to pay any taxes ?
Please suggest how we can by ourselves build roads, give electricity and develop the infrastructure of the nation?
Or are you saying we should abolish the tax system, and pay for everything like we do the railways? for instance, For use of road? getting documents from different departments? The idea is good. But if all departments were to make profits how much could we afford?
We seriously need to think if there is an alternative to the tax system. The railways work perfectly, so why shouldnt other departments? Maybe then we can ask for more accountability because everyone pays.
