I see lot of good things in budget. It is stupid to blame FM or anybody. We have a responsible citizen and understand the budget process. Depends upon the situation, depends on time some items needs more attention, some items may need less attention to give importance to priority items. Some times, they have distribute money in such a way over a period of times (years). So, this year it may be less in one item, next year it may not be like that. Overall we should think about that.

Please understand that we need to take the whole points together on what is their point on the budget. They give some policy on mind to create a national budget. Also, some will be distributed over a period of years, so, one will be more in one year, but another year it will be taken care of.

Dear-by hello, Can FM will show where E(ducation)cess etc utilised. Can he show the details? These additional surcharge goes directly to politicians-Election expenses...Have you seen anything done by government for Education for past couple of years since Ecess is levied. Instead we have seen that Kukur Mutto ki tarah Private schools and colleges have been opened to get money. Now schools and other Educational institutes become the business and all. Budget perspective should be in macro level and as far as macro level is concern i.e. a common men, we need price control on domestic need items, Cooking items, food, grains, oils and blocking of black markets. A nice budget can be made with lesser taxation as volume of our country is concern. Also, IT Slab (Amount) has to be increased. It is totally failure and poor planning of FM and other related concern whoever are they.
I wish to inform rediff that someone is indiscriminately reporting abuse to all the messages, though there is nothing objectionable in them. It looks like there is an active unofficial sensorship to block all reactions that are not considered favourable.

Some of them were reported for abuse correctly. Some anti-nationals showing like supporting leaders & using words like s..**. & other words don't you see?

Some of them do show such words and reporting such messages is perfectly ok. But, amny of the "clean" messages have also been reported.
hi, i think tax should imposed on buying in malls, showrooms as who evade tax by saying that they had no income then how can they purchase costly items.
we can make one more tax . services provided by wife to husband and usband to wife can be taxed as service tax . This will make huge amount and can be used for clearing loans.
It's not the finance ministy to be blamed for the present scenario.
Our own countrymen refrain from paying their electricity bills honestly (courtesies to Many of the factory owners), if you noticed many of the lower class poeple have stolen the phone connections...how can we expect a proper revenue from general public.
Many of us steal from the Govt. by not paying sales tax or excise duty on imports which inturn does create a problem for honest people who run their businesses by sticking to all the tax laws etc.
I would suggest their should be a system to track all the above activities and trace out the people as well as their fraud companies involved in stealing from Govt. which is actually the money for the welfare of Indian Citizens.
As an employee I paid honestly Income Tax for last abt 35 years and total amount may be abt Rs.50 lakhs. Now retired, no other income, except interest on savings. What r the social security (medical etc.,) avble from Govt. who recd. tax from me. I am also filing returns regularly. But, no social security schemes. We r all thinking abt poor. Good. Poor people will increase with increase in population and they r burden on the society. Govt. should follow China poliy in controlling population.Atleast debar peope from any public post if they r having more than 2 children. One more suggestion. Govt. is declaring paid holidy on voting day enabling people to vote, but many people r not voting. Unless they show proof of voting, their pay for that day should not be paid.Govt. should restrict tax incentives for housing, one house per family. Thanks
First in india all schools should have a control over indian government. Now a days all private schools all robbing and they are openly taking donations and fees without any limit this thing government should directly involve they should make a control by this type a cheating activities, all indian kids should get a good education even poor or rich all should make equal now poor people studying corporation school where as rich are going to good private school with good standard of education by paying donation and fees.Just make control on this or improve the standard of corporation or government school. All politicians should understand this problem and do some thing for this.Jai hindh

You get what you pay for. If you can't afford to send your Kids to private school, how is that the fault of the Govt?
Make your Kid study HARD and send him to a lesser private school, with lower fees, capitation, etc. It is not as if they teach things in the elite private schools that they don't teach in cheaper private schools.

Mr. Rohit, The difference is not in teaching. The difference in good schools is the opportunities one gets and the recognition that a school has. Though the bottom line is probably the student's performance. Just to illustrate, a good Engineering college will have prospective employers having campus selections. But an college not so well recognised will not have this benefit and the studet will end up with the next best jobs that are left over. Ofcourse, you can still argue that one can work had and grow up the job ladder even with a "next best job". This in my opinion will just be an argument.

We have merit based thing in college, but we can change it to scholarship based scheme what is adopted in foreign. YOu can get loan & pay it after you get the job. But for that we need accountability.

The only way that this can be controlled is by the Govt starting good schools, comparable to the private schools, for the middle income group. Thet could charge a reasonable fee, which could be higher than the present Govt schools and less than the Pvt institution fees, without compramising on quality. But, this is impossible as the Govt cannot do it. But, does the Govt have the efficieincy/capability for such a plan? The Govt is just happy collecting thousands of crores as education cess. God knows what is happening to this collection.
For any nation education and health care are most important Social needs. But, in our country both these are so neglected, which shows the importance the Govt attaches to the future of the country.
