by arun chandel on Feb 28, 2007 04:55 PM

Why can't we have system to take tax from well to do Agriculturists and the termite of this nation the Neeta's. How it is possible that even a political leader without power is affording to run 4 to 5 Tata Rovers as tail twister and lives in a palatial houses (visible from outside-God only knows what hidden inside).............. FM please tell me how you are going to ask tax from them. Please reconcile budget 2007-08.

Move up or Move down but don't be a Common Man.
by Uruj on Feb 28, 2007 04:53 PM

With each budget announcement comes a big blow to the Common Man - the classic Indian Middle Class, The Mute Man Class, The Get-Whipped-First-Cry-Later Class! Can the FM please spare us our class? Only the ones above and the ones below somehow escapes the Finance Hunter Master's Great Whip. The salaried class has their book of earnings wide open for the In Command people to have a peek and its so very transparent. It is so convenient and hasslefree for them that the first people in the line of fire for tax realisation is the Commom Man. Get creative Mr. FM. Think out of the box. Spare us!!! Though this budget has an Agricultural flavour, I am not sure how much of it would actually go to the Sons of the Soil and how much of it to the Soiled Sons and their Great White Pockets - you know what I mean, right? So, now what do we do? Well, wait for another whip...next year...unless you want to do a trick or two and save some tax just like the guys on the top do and move gradually move a notch up and secure yourself OR sit around and pay through your nose untill you are escorted a notch down thanks to the prevailing inflation. And then you won't feel a pinch. Right Mr. FM?? Ciao~!!

Budget 2007-2008
by kumar nagappa on Feb 28, 2007 04:48 PM  | Hide replies

As i have already pointed ouit the FM has presented the same budget as in the previous 3 years. He is just repeating everything year after year without any change. This could have been done by saying last years proposals will hold good, especially in taxation proposals.

FM's proposals
by on Feb 28, 2007 04:47 PM  | Hide replies

I cannot understand this bloody government and the clown Chidambaran

1. Why is tax exempted on aviation for small aircraft? so that Amar Singh and his cronies become richer?

2. Why are duties reduced on bloody pet food!!??

Where are the priorities of the government? what about the farmers committing suicides when pets get exotic food at lower prices?

Where is the Opposition to such ludicrous tax proposals??

Cheers

A Disgusted Citizen
