Just because industries get taxed and share markets dosent mean its a Bakwaas budget. Guys on bourses make 100% money in 1 year and you dont expect them taxed comeon lets live in reality.
If some one says Lalus budget is good, give him a break he is introducing more n more trains on collapsing and stinking infrastructure inviting more accidents in future. Education does matter sir, that makes a man wise and perfect and increases scope of his thinking.

Dear Friend,
let see, After independence there were so many budgets prepared even uneducated ministers. Donot feel that all educated are good. Even Lalu can do marvalous. No one proved that railway making 20000 crores in the independence history. Besides, educated brain we need something. Harward brain does not work out in India. Be practical person

I totally agree with you. People who post here think that a good budget is one which gives higher tax exemption more in funds and blah. No one thinks of ppl below that.Overall i think it is a perfect aam aadmi budget becuase people thinking of funds and higher tax exemptions are not the aam aadmi

Hello I request to people of india, please don't vote to congress party in next election.. Mr FM your buget is totaly junk. You should take lesson from Mr lalu jee..
It is sad to note that Govt does not want to support the IT tax payees like in western countries ...but still continue to collect the Tax from the Middle class people in every budget . By increasing Rs 10,000/ limit it again proves that Govt is keen to tax the sincere people which makes people like me to work outside India.. It is sad

Can a FM be punished by the law for such a poor budget ?? I wish the FM suffers a lot in his life
FM has come out with stupid budget. What has been done with the money already collected from education cess? Why cess should be imposed. Providing funds for education is primary responsibility of the Government. Funds for that should come from consolidated funds of India? Also dividend distribution tax is increased. Alreday companies will pay 34% tax on profits, further they will have to pay 17% distribution tax on the profits distributed. This is hight of double taxation. With the increase in dividend distribution tax from 12.5% to 25% for mutual funds, small investors will be at loss. FM should tax large farmers and politicians who do not pay taxes and enjoy at the cost of middle class. I am sure the FM has done his best to ensure that growth rate for 2007-08 is -10%.
FM minister why with GOVT employees no transaction Tax . Do the Private company employees not contributing in GDP. What U are going to do it will not chk inflation. U have to cut down all your ministry's Expenses. U all are enjoying on our Money .

i do completely agree with both of you. Dear FM, you are meaning that the private employees are less contributing to the growth of our country, but sorry to say that the private employees are giving their best effort to shine our country however anyone can say that they doing for their own but many of the occassions govt employees are doing nothing to earn their packages.
For all his acclaimed brilliance and education the FM PC has not given anything new. Always follow the beaten path of burdening the salaried class and NO Tax reforms at all and NO attempt to increase the tax net. Salaried class is always caught and punished. Lallu is much better and can be better FM and even PM.

Once again the common man thinks only of himself and not the benefit of the country. No wonder it is said India will never get anywhere. For once we have a PM and an FM whose concerns are with the surging economy, while the common man only thinks of his own interests

Who says I am thinking my own interest. Tell me one single step that he has taken to increase the Tax Net, to knock-off all the tax sops and reduce the tax burden. He is just siphoning the honest tax payers money elsewhere. All that he is doing is to follow predecessors and burden the salaried class.

And for once we have educated PM who lacks self-respect and FM who has given his brains on lease to someone else.
You have not taken the view of the Middle class salaried employee.YOu are putting unnecessary budden .The relief of 10000 per anum which shows that ,you can save merely 80 rupees per month. compare with price hike of commodities like petrol, food items and real estates. It reached the peak.
I would say the Lalu budjet is far far better than your's as it touched all the sections of society and gave relief direct or indirect to everyone and made every one happy.
We the middle class people of india belive and pray that it may be your last budget. If any Govt wants to go from the power thay can try to appoint you as FM.
Taxation levels in western countries is much higher than in India. This budget has provide relief to small companies and service providers.
Dividend taxation in the west is 15%. Capital gains tax are 30% (short term) and 15% long term. In India capital gains tax are far less.
Gifts to parents should be made taxable. In India one can be totally tax free by giving large chunks of money to parents who are senior citizenS and then borrowing money from them. What nonsense! In the west, except charitable gifts no gifts are tax free. Money can be given tax free to parents only after paying regular income tax on it.
Corporations need to be taxed more. They are engaged in all kind of theft: tax, electricity, water, pollution.......

But before gifting to our parents, we pay taxes for that amount also at the source. Then why should we have double taxation on the same income? Am I correct?
