Hail for mister anurag gupta.
Wow sir !!! well said.
i think, by saying west, u mean the US and EU and all those countries right??
Well sir, i think u might b knowing that these countries are DEVELOPED countries, and ours is a DEVELOPING country. Well i think u might have some knowledge of at least the difference of a DEVELOPED and DEVELOPING country.

I think either u r a student and not earning right now or u have so much of money that u dont even bother of much higher taxes then these.

Bacchu middle class me rah ke pese kama ke dekho , fir pata lagega ki tax bharna kya hota hai. kitne tax hote hai and tax bachane ke liye kya kya karna padta hai.

And do u know were the damn tax of all common men go?

did u got a lot of benefit of taxes??
do u really know how the taxes paid by a hard working salaried common man are being used?

where is the damn developing country other then the damn developed politicians.

i never elected these damn congressians to power. So i have the right to condemn these acts and i m a tax payer too.
so i have full right to condemn these morons who are increasing the direct/indirect taxes on common men and worriying more for cats and dogs instead of a common man.
I m a tax payer so i didnt liked this budget at all, so i dont think that v sud b burdened with anymore taxes. if u like some more taxes then i wud b pleasured if u pay of some of my taxes buddy i wud b delighted a lot.

Very well said.

Please don't think of the I.Tax only. Whatever we earn after paying income tax, we pay a number of other taxes as well like excise, CST, octoroi.............etc etc.

More than 50% of our hard earned money goes into paying taxes whereas we hardly get any benefit out of that.

The lesson is that stop working under someone & try becoming an Entrepreneur. Salaried people across the world are dealt in the same way.. Your tax is on your gross salary but if you do something of your own then coporate tax is on Gross salary less expenses..

I think Budget should be so simple in ONE LINE. ALL SALARIED PERSON HAS TO GIVE THEIR 100% SALARY TO RULLING GOVERNMENT AND THEY WILL BARE YOUR EXPENSE... ... why to make this long calculation for TAX and then running for saving the taxes.......

Our Tax System is Innefficient
by Dinesh ambat on Feb 28, 2007 07:09 PM  | Hide replies

We have an inefficient and obsolete tax system in this country.
A budget focusing on growing economy should attend to increasing buying power of middle class and look at bringing some kind of parity with the economically rich class,. We may alter the tax collection system with some kind of Honey Comb model and give tax rebates to first time buying of items like cars, TVs etc.. and impose more tax while buying second car, TV etc%u2026thus allowing every one improve quality of life

Thats an impractical solution. Can you imagine the kind of mayhem it will create with bribery, false registrations and a brilliant arbitrage opportunity for traders. Secondly, what if i sell my new car and buy another one - will i still get taxed extra. It requires sophisticated systems and honesty - both of which are questionable.

FACELESS BUDGET
by rakesh lalchandani on Feb 28, 2007 07:06 PM  | Hide replies

By Dr Lalchandani

I repost this message:(for the benifit of the newspapers)

The Finance Minister Mr P.Chidambaram today presented a FACELESS BUDGET before the nation.

It may be interesting to note that almost 20 years back, the then PM of India, Mr Rajiv Gandhi had presented a similar useless (FACELESS) budget to a expectant nation which was looking up to him for some revolutionary changes in their lives. Now 20 years down the line, the Indian population is looking down the face of a similar slap on their faces.

The Personal Income taxes remain unchanged, barring a INR 10000/- exemption which effectively will save affected people INR 83.33 per month/lakh of income.

The general opinion of the people in the street was of resentment and apathy. The most common comment was that this is a follow up to the unethical and unfair practices seen previously when this same government HR ministry pushed through the Reservation quota for the OBC population.

This abuse of Power has been tried many times before, and it seems this time too, the Indian Population shall take it without a fight, Infact, shall also present the other cheek.

(looking forward to the next general elections though)

Do you really want to support Lalu. Behind the scenes its the consultants who have the vision, execution and capability to improve the railways and not Lalu. He's a mere puppet taking credit for the changes.
Lalu as FM. Can he even count?

Dear FM,

You can better calculate that no family can be maintained with Rs.9000/-PM with rented house in city or village where salary is the only income. If we consider that they all have their own house, so why are we calling the multinationals to built the complexes. It is horrible to see that as an educated guy like yours can do this type of double crossing the People of India.
