Not a Right Question
by Gokulavan Jayaraman on Jun 02, 2009 11:47 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This is the age, where Dowry system is totally condemned legally, and such articles may create havoc in people's mind who really don't think about dowry. Let's abolish this Dowry system. Though there are many people who go behind these, just treat them like insects who are greedy. Automatically things will come into control. If you have to pay it will pain, if somebody else has to pay you it will be sweet, is this a balanced attitude. Think about this people.

Always played a key role in marriage, nothing wrong, if a girl can feel secured or a boy can uplift in society. Only aspect is the curse part, when it becomes essentiality for marriage.

It is foolish
by abcd efg on Jun 01, 2009 11:55 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dont know why most people look for monthly salary or job of prospect when marriage is a long term investment like fixed deposit while money and career are like share prices especially in present times. Marriage is a special kind of relation which sustains on basic premise of absolute commitment and gives returns even in old age and difficult times. Lifestyle, education and compatibility in values is what should be looked in marriage and not money, location or position. Rest, it is universal fact that marriages are made in heaven and suffered on earth. ;)

Dowry Marriage and 498a
by Prassoon Suryadas on Jun 01, 2009 11:36 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If women look for money its "SECURITY" in life but when man look for money its "DOWRY" a criminal offense!!! Even if he didnt look for money and if women didnt get enough luxury husband and his entire family will land in jail for DOWRY harrassment CRIMINAL cases. Marriage is not a good choice for Indian men unless our NON-CONSTITUTIONAL women centric laws are changed.

I too represent the ugly side of marriage, and its astonishing how women have their way into a man's life and put him through hardships by way of false complaints. Once a case is filed mind you you will be fighting against a very corrupt system.
Unmarried men should be aware of such things before entering into marriage. Marraige is not a good choice unless there is a true excitement and commitment from both sides to make it a success.

hmmmmm ugly side of marriage is women's right to protest and good side of marriage is DOWRY.
well mr. jai bharat, vijay prakash and prasoondas i know that there are some cases when women get away with laws on her side charging false charges but those cases are comparatively low if we look at the cases of physical abuse, domestic violence, dowry harassment and brides committing suicide or burnt alive by many money hungry inhuman bridegroom and his family. when you comment give a hawk view and then point out.

A successful ENTREPRENEUR is worth 10 MBAs and 10 PHDs.
However, I suggest every Indian to work and live in a Western Nation for at-least 3 months.
You will learn the good, bad and ugly sides of their and YOUR culture and socio-economic conditions.

marriage for money huh....
by Amey Parmarthi on Jun 01, 2009 08:05 PM  Permalink

hey guys frankly speaking I feel that today everything is commercialized. In todays world your societal status, reputation and happiness depends on money. Nobody can deny it. So whats wrong if somebody poor with a good personality and sense of humour; attracts a richer guy or girl and gets married to improve his/her standard of living? After all once you have enough money to feed you; you can bring all sort of comforts and can have mental relief to make your marriage work. Love and commitment will come along as time goes by. Think about it. Its purely practical and realistic.
