No doubt
by R Padmanabhan on Dec 23, 2009 11:01 AM  Permalink

There is absolutely no doubt that Social Networking Sites, Chats, Messengers etc kill the productivity of the employees.

So the employers to allow restricted/limited access to these facilities during office hours

no ovetime in India
by sawan gosavi on Dec 23, 2009 10:47 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

when employees work out of their heads till 12 in the midnight, you people never mention that...

in india it is a habit to make the employees work like donkeys .... in US there is overtime for even 1 extra hour worked ... so why blame the employees for surfing for an hour ...

remember they also sit late many a times ... the employers are sucking the employees' blood and no one cares about that ...

When employee is a donkey, he needs to work till 12 in midnight like a donkey.

If he is smart and intelligent, he completes work by 6

by sanjiv kumar on Dec 23, 2009 10:33 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

in the present senario the working hours is now increasing 10 to 11 hours.instead of 8 hours. So, that the person is working in these org. is less time to their relative, friend & family. If a employee spent 30-40 mt daily in office i these social networking site. Then I don't think so. this is wrong.

And depends...

Paying Social Sites Ahead...
by Rajesh Patel on Dec 22, 2009 11:12 PM  Permalink

Unlike Facebook, Orkut etc. the social sites like Me2everyone and Sqip are the innovative social networking projects which include various income streams to earn side by side. Me2everone is a public limited company based in England and is committed to offer free company shares and unlimited income streams in near future.

Now, apart from developing social contacts members would be able to earn as well.

The flow of brain chemicals triggered by common workplace experiences —feedback session — can erode our ability to think straight, harming productivity and diminishing our capacity to solve problems or work well with others.

Likewise
by Zeeshan Bhayani on Dec 22, 2009 10:52 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

As long as people visit these sites in 2 or 3 15-minute bursts during working hours or during lunch I feel there is no problem. And if employers have a problem with this, then let me ask them how many organizations actually follow the 9-5 routine. Nowadays, working days have become 11-12 hours long and workers need some respite.
