Lets do something for a better society
by Madhu babu on Dec 08, 2008 01:57 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think, we always find reasons to blame our politicians and police. In my view, we are all equally responsible for all this. We as human being can not anticipate everything, the only way is that we need to quickly learn from mistakes. I would suggest that the following may work at a long run:

1) Physical fitness programs (e.g. NCC) at school, college and even at corporate levels.

2) Considering problems of the minority sections of the society (including orphans) and coming up with solutions. The part solution here would be to encourage them in education by providing it for free (not money).

3) Our education system should be made simple to learn. Thus decreasing the school and college drop outs. Its better to include social activies as part of college education.

4) Encouraging unemployed youth to work (with minimal stipend) for social activities till they find proper job. These people can be co-funded by govt and private sector.

5) We should discourage our family, and friends in participating anti-social elements.

6) We should try dissolve the anti-social units by negotiaation first, if not by force.

7) Lastly, creating a political system which contains the clean and correct leaders. May be, we should have some entrance exam before they participate in elections.

Any suggestions/corrections are most welcome.

Dear Madhu Babu
I agree with you wholly, whatever you have written is well said. I would like to add one more point the parity between the rich and the poor should be decreased by defining the high and low incomes. As this is the main cause for dissatisfaction among the common man and which results in hatred towards other beings.

Anand

Let's ignore the politicians
by chandramouli venkataraman on Dec 07, 2008 11:03 PM  Permalink

Let's show our displeasure to poiliticians by the following:
Let us switch back to using the original names of cities, roads and places which the politicians mutilated. Let's re-start Bangalore, Madras, Bombay, Calcutta, Connaught Place, Mount Road etc. Who are these stupid politicians to decide what we should call our cities. One CM in the south is even trying to change the new year to suit him !

1. I will not buy any made in pak (or made in any country which might fund zihasdis) products.
2. I will help create employement opportunities inside my country so that we are more stronger (right now we depend on other powers and deplomatically we are weak)
3. Help to manufacture domestic product.
4. Be more alert for saftey.
5. Help another true indian to be more better indian.
6. Honestly I do not have any faith in Netas now. May be I will form a party of truely dynamic and educated leaders , but now I am too young to be doing that.
Jai Hind.

Change I can bring
by dhulipala manoj on Dec 07, 2008 09:48 PM  Permalink

Let the government set up Anti-Terrorist squads at district level or rather city level and enroll in youth.... This way the government is providing employment and also it provides safety and security for the people.... recruit only locals into that so they know about the demographies of their place, they can easily identify if a stranger comes into their neighbourhood....

In our country-to get a job of an attender or even a peon, the candidate need to have a minimum qualification, but to become a politician you need to have none.
We the people of India work towards getting an ordinance for fixing the minimum qualification required for a candidate to contest election. This has to be done at any cost
