How far to lose weight
by Raj Khalid on Sep 20, 2006 03:45 PM  Permalink

I am a 52 yr old man. I am an active sportsperson in that I shoot pistol for Maharashtra State. I have seen many fit women in sports and I would emphatically say that I do not find very thin women attractive. In my opinion women who think they need to lose weight just need some fitness and almost all of them are more attractive than they think they are.

It is really sad to see these models wrapped tightly in a so-called designer wear apparels. It must be so suffocating for them to fit into such tight clothes.
It is a part n parcel of their profession to be extra thin. This is a very wrong practice n good its getting banned. Why punish ur tummy for the sake of fashion? Its just ridiculous.

Does thin = attractive?
by Beena on Sep 20, 2006 03:14 PM  Permalink

Donno whether 'thin is in' but certainly being fat is not an healthy sign. Its an open invitation to all sorts of health problems. If not at an early age, certainly when u grow old u r bound to face serious health trouble. So before its too late, always better to draw a line. For that u dont need to crash diet. U just need to maintain a proper exercise routine alongwith healthy diet. Should b consistent in whtever u undertake and thats the path to success.

Thin is not always attractive!!
by Srinivas on Sep 20, 2006 03:02 PM  Permalink

I think toomuch is always disturbing in both extremes. You have to maintain weight as per height with plus or minus 3 kilos. But now a days girls are either prone to anorexia nervosa (eating disorder) OR obesity.

In my view, there are so many probems to think off... but teenagers want to be more thinner to grab attention of guys... which is not true!! The same is the case with other extreme!!

So Better be normal in all means...

Thin not necessarily attractive
by Rajul Madani on Sep 20, 2006 02:57 PM  Permalink

I really appreciate the move by the organizers to ban \'extra thin\' models for two reasons. Firstly, they don\'t look attractive at all and secondly they set a wrong example.

As a woman, i would definately like to be thin to an extent that my figure should look shapely. But i will certainly not go to the level where I do more harm to my physical and mental well being in my madness to become thin.

Even women with little extra kilos too looks beautiful if they can carry themselves well.

I strongly beleive that beauty comes from within and your body just reflects it. I prefer to be \'fit\' rather than thin.
