to kiss or not to kiss
by Anuradha on Apr 20, 2006 04:35 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think Kissing in public is not an offence. What I mean is giving a little kiss is fine, but smooching is a strict no!! Don't husbands give a peppy kiss to their wives. what's wrong with that!! I think in a country like India, even if a girl is with a boy on a bike, or even sitting at some public place, it will grab attention of the people. The authorities should describe what type of kiss do they want to fine! the kiss could be a friendly one or a brotherly one. The rules should be more appropriately elaborated. Ya I fully agree that in parks, Kissing should be prohibited coz people of all ages go there. But as in a recent incident we saw that police harrassing couples sitting in a park, I think the rules should be checked.

Your Say: To kiss or not to kiss
by Kaushik on Apr 20, 2006 04:33 PM  Permalink

I think the Police should concentrate on what they are supposed to do instead of harrasing inncocent citizens. Ohh... my mistake... I think they are doing what they are supposed to do and best at doing.. which is -> Harrasing Inncocent people on pretext of something or other. They are neither capable nor have any willingness to nab the real culprits who are bombing Jama Masjid to Hanuman Mandir.

This is really shame for us that we contribute our hard earned money as taxes which are used to pay salaries to such bunch of nothings.

Instead of acting as moral police they should concentrate and try remembering what Actual policing is all about.

Police or Malice
by Paarthiban on Apr 20, 2006 04:30 PM  Permalink

The more the police try to get into the personal matters of general public, the more the deviation of them from the public matters. why dont they place rules for power cuts, encroachments....

It seems that police now try to check what the people are doing at public places rather than checking whether proper protection is provided to them.

Is this rule applicable only for humans or for animals also ;-)

activities in the public
by anil kumar on Apr 20, 2006 04:29 PM  Permalink

there is nothing wrong from the side of the government go curb such activities. In metros like Delhi,Bombay and Bangalore it is become common to express love in the public and get noticed. To some extend it is to be curbed.

Salam to MORAL POLICE
by GeeCee on Apr 20, 2006 04:28 PM  Permalink

Such public display of passion should be dealt with severe hand. Rs.500 is again a very small amount. It should be at least Rs.2000 and 2 days in jail. If not such controls are made properly, the love birds will start giving "dirty feast" to the onlookers. Delhi should also look into the places like the Safdarjung Tomb & Ansal plazas. These places can yield a regular income to the Government exchequer for illegal passion display.
