by Nishanth on Apr 21, 2006 12:51 PM  Permalink

Why don't we focus on important issues than enacting laws like this..I think we have dug a grave to 'common sense'

We have a history and heritage which we should be proud of..
by renju on Apr 21, 2006 12:50 PM  Permalink

Unlike the West, India has a history, its mythology and its heritage which extends over tens of thousands of years. West when it first had its understanding of Indian literarure and sacred books were astounded and dumb found about the depth in which it went and took in its stride to defame the same to prove the superiority of the west over east. Unfortunate for the Indians, the west succeeded in its agenda and the young generation of today believes the superiority of English over everything and blindly follows what the west does. Remember, the culture of the United States and the whole of west was discovered only 500 years back and it evolved from nothing. It doesnt have anything to teach us and nothing to be proud of. We on the contrary should understand and practice our own culture which is by far richest of all cultures and is recogonized by many scientists of today as the mother of all cultures. Kissing or love making is not meant to be done in the public.

Regards,
Renju.

Kissing in Public
by K. Narasimhan on Apr 21, 2006 12:46 PM  Permalink

I am married for almost 25 years. Even though I am against kissing in public, you can still allow and tolerate as long as emotions do not go beyond kissing.

After all, it is not violence. First we should restrict and come heavily on killing or bombing rather than kissing.

Don't you think I am correct?

kiss or not to kiss in public
by pradipkumar das on Apr 21, 2006 12:44 PM  Permalink

This is a question which is influenced by western culture and as such we should stick to our moral value and standard as our cultural lineage is much stronger to avoid such influence.

Thought Evolution!
by Saurabh Sharma on Apr 21, 2006 12:44 PM  Permalink

Its good topic to discuss but we all have to consider the general thoughts of the Indian society. Most of us all still traditional and kissing in public will encourage the people with narrow minds to go for more eveteasing and all more trouble.
Further, the teenagers will be more inclined to go for kissing in Public rather than reading in public as the western world people do.
I think we shoul concentrate on better things than on the topics like kissing in Public.

by hiral bhatt on Apr 21, 2006 12:42 PM  Permalink

it completely depends on one self, and i think government and media should stay out of everyone's personal life... if someone thinks its ok, then go ahead, if u arent comfortable watching it then quit staring and mid your own buisness!

Kissing in Public
by Raj Kumar Rana on Apr 21, 2006 12:39 PM  Permalink

I think this is high time to encourage such activities in public places. What is wrong in this???
But by banning such things in lieu of our Culture, animal behaviour etc. etc. always encourages bigger crimes in the same culture and bigger animal behavious. We don't need to tell the next generation that why we took so much time to change so much as one day this will be legalised as in other DEVELOPED COUNTRIES.

kissing in public should be allowed
by Ananthkumar on Apr 21, 2006 12:38 PM  Permalink

I dont see anything special kissing in public.. Even a married couple cant be intimate at home. They come to an extent that they forget and kiss in public. Either the couple should have privacy at home (if they are lovers, its not possible) else at public (which the police harasses). Where else is a place to relax and enjoy.. and make love?

I think all LOVERS should oppose on this ban.

This puts down the image of police and i personally feel that police are an HARRASING AGENTS for public.

Is kissing provoking your adrenaline? If so, what are the films making? Put a ban on films which shows kissing instead of putting a ADULT ONLY Certificate. That would be better..
