I agree No need for reservation because thats an insult. That creed had learnt to survive reservation or no reservation - they can make a mark where others struggle to even make a begining despite reservations.

Part of Brahmin community do need reservation
by munish sharma on Mar 31, 2009 04:03 PM  | Hide replies

If we are talking about social injustine, there are families in Brahmin community who require reservation. There are so many families which do not have any earning, no land etc. If govt want to do justice it has to also take responsibility of these families. It has to come out of vote politics and have to work as Indian govt

murali, when i go to college or job, the only asset i flaunt is getting through both by merit. you want to bring in reservations and take away the only asset we have, the brains? all those who are using reservations are missing a vital point here. they are getting used to it and getting lax. it is playing to my advantage. hehehehehehe.

If OBC/SC/ST s were harrased in past
Govt should apologize for past mistake and pay each SC/ST/OBCs one lakh rupee as a compensation and force everybody to remove caste , creed ,etc from their name and burn all the caste records available and forget it.

ALL BRAMHINS MIGRATED FROM KASHMIR
by TRILOK MEHTA on Mar 31, 2009 04:02 PM  | Hide replies

The truth is all Brahmins come from Kashmir. Due to atrocities from present Afghanistan, Iran they were pushed out. Thousands of years they were doing the duties in Cashmere. They had only one language then - Sanskrit. Step by step they migrated to other parts of country and adopted the languages of that state. A major chunk went to Benaras. Some few Brahmin Families (present day kashmiri pandit) are left there.

Only the weak need reservation
by rock on on Mar 31, 2009 04:01 PM  | Hide replies

It is only the weak with low confidence level and low will power need reservation. The strong will never need reservation to become successful. They will find out ways on their own to achieve the success they want. Dhirubhai Ambani being a good example of the same.

Point is that Reservation is not reaching to those who deserve it.
Its all eaten up by Creamy Layer in BCs.

Reverse discrimination in Tamil Nadu......
by Bhasmasur Rakshas on Mar 31, 2009 04:00 PM  | Hide replies

The ill effects of reverse discrimination by which there was an Anti-Brahmin wave in Tamil Nadu meant that talented competent Brahmins, Iyers and Iyengars sought greener pastures....

Many moved to Mumbai and Bangalore for better jobs...the less competent among them took up government jobs in mumbai or joined the railways...the really bright ones knocked on the doors of engineering and IT companies....

If Bangalore is a major IT hub today, 50% of the credit should go to talented brilliant Iyengar and Iyer Brahmins from Tamil Nadu...clearly, TN's loss was Bangalore's gain..

In many IT companies in Bangalore, the Tamils outnumber the local Kannadigas in terms of numbers and achivements..

You can never keep a competent Brahmin down in life...he will find a way to succeed!!

Absolutely!! The reserved guys in the IIMs, isnpite of an IIM tag barely get those 3 lakhs per annum bottom jobs in the IIMS..

And the Brahmins from SP Jain, NITIE, FMS etc who were denied admission to the IIMs due to reservation policy, do exceedingly well and work in foreign banks and consulting firms......the fact that they don't have the IIM tag on their CV does not stop them from becoming hugely successful....very well said my friend!!

I can say this cos i passed out from an IIM 5 years back, now with an IT company in Mumbai..

Cheers!!

These reserved people Get what has been left over by Brahmins..
Previously Brahmins were major in numbers in Govt. Jobs...
These SC/St entered into Govt. Jobs by means of Reservation...
By this time Govt. jobs became less efficient compered to Private Jobs...

Brahmins moved to Private Jobs...

By the time there will be reservations in Private Jobs..
there will be something new Brahmins will find out..

People started pulling legs of Brahmins in INDIA... brahmins are moving out of INDIA..

Reservations & agression
by RAVINDRA on Mar 31, 2009 04:00 PM

RESERVATION was a issue when India became free; only for initail years of the development; now III generation is enjoying the fruits; why punish higher castes in the name of social justice. Still more than 30% people ar eunder BPL; why something is not done for them; why no body is checking population pressure; why India has a growth rate of more than 2.1%. Yo feel hurt seeing dirt towns, dirty roads, hungry people in soiled clothes; More than 60 yaers of Indpendent India; The nation per se is not poor but Govt has stopped supprot to people, New IIts and IIMs have come after 40 years. This should ahve been done continuosly. Why punish Brahmins, Punish agressors of the nation from Afghan, Kandhar who broke Khurhao temples; i am not a BJP man but the truth is you see all brken temples at Khujraho. Punish them. They are still perpetuating terrorrism.

Actually what we need is a constitutional amendment "abolishing" all reservations.

Ambedkar - the founder of the reservation system - wanted reservations to be abolished after 10 years. Instead of which they have kept growing and growing.
