Today's reservation system based on caste is purely vote bank politics nothing else.. This is going to further divide Hindu Society..
Brahmins were forefront in freedom struggle in all states. Brahmins were forefront in education system & educated people from other castes.. Many brahmins were civil reformers in many states... Brahmins were great warriors Peshwas / Rani laxmibai of Jhansi etc...
All Brahmins should stand united & help each other we do not need reservation
Dont join army as its not worth dying for a country who discriminates one based on caste!!!

If every community in India can get reservation under some scheme, why not the long suffering brahmins ? It is high time, they united under some banner, led by a strong clean leader and pressed for their rights. This farce has gone on for too long now.

Use your brains for a change, you moron. In case of college admissions, a boy or girl from the forward caste is denied admission in spite of get- ting over 99% into a course of his/her choice, whereas a beneficiary of this reservsation scheme gets the coveted seat in spite of not scoring more than 50%. If you had brains and a conscien- ce, you will realize that we are cheat ing the youngsters of their future. What right do we have ?
In case govt feels a community needs upliftment (whether the person belonging to a caste or a BPL), the said people shud be encouraged to create wealth and attain higher learning, Govt shud fund free training/coaching and interest free education loan or loan to set up small business and encourage in a constructive way for upliftment of a section of populace.
But alas, who is interested in general upliftment of all, Its all about votes

Brahmins dont need reservations (particularly in Tamil Nadu). What we need law to ensure that reservation is not exceeded above 50%. Even if this is not possible, or if it is needed to raise the current 69% to 89% or even 99% or even 100% also we are welcome. We have crossed the barrier of depending on the government support. So what SV Shekar is doing is nothing to get a ticket for him in the current loksabha elections and it needs to be condemned!!!!!

I feel, India need to develop a mass movement on the subject of 'Reservation on Caste/ Religion basis'. We are in this 21st century and we are fighting amongst ourselves for an issue of reservation on caste-basis. Think about your personal economy, village economy, state and country's economy alongwith the developme- nts around you. More than 30% people, irrespective of caste/ religion, have to strive for one meal a day. Poverty and Population are crippling our country. So, develop a feeling for all others, who are unable to get their food, shelter, even. Reservation is a farce subject, being continued for political purposes, only. Why not a consensus reservation-policy is developed in India, purely on the basis of Economy / Poverty-status, of the individuals, irrespective of caste, creed, religion ! This will hurt the opportunists and other vested-interest people. If the country is to develop uniformly, this type of consensus reservation policy has to be implemented in India. THANKS.

Your view that Brahmins do not need any resevation is commendable! It is because of us Brahmins that India is respected in the world-not because of quota products,SC,ST,OBC,Muzlims etc.
selfish bramins should make unity, and fight the govt., it is most important without unity if fight you never get improvement., thanks to sri s.v.sekar.,- bring helping tendency between bramins and other peoples., this is most imp and essential.
